Today was our birthday, and nothing would satisfy me more than to show Luna the love I have for her. But reality had set in. Last time, we were caught up in the motions, and a set of headlights made us halt what we were about to engage into. I would never try to pressure her into anything, and just holding her all night would be pleasing. It would be something we both could do and gaze at the stars under the sky window in her room.

I took a room on the third floor next to Faisal. I'm sure Cami was in there with him, and I didn't want to hear them talk all night. I also thought about me needing a long, cold shower soon. Having Luna's body pressed against mine, with her most gentle part of her near the hardest part of me, teasing me, my self-control flew out the window. I was so turned on beyond belief. I didn't know how to feel about this.

I wanted things to go slow, like a couple who were dating or something, but the both of us were past that. I wanted to make sure she was okay, emotionally. "Luna?" I mumbled as I stopped near an archway.

"Hmm."

"I just wanted to tell you I respect you and we don't have to do anything you aren't ready for."

She lifted her chin, her eyes staring into mine. Everything I had ever felt for her just crashed into my chest and lit my blood on fire. The beauty of her soul just shined so bright through the dark orbs of her eyes, and my stomach turned. My breath caught in my throat as I waited for her to give me a sign on what to do next.

She stared at me and nodded slightly. "It's okay. Let's proceed," she murmured, sending a shockwave through my chest, causing my heart to beat rapidly.

I wasted no time after hearing those two words. They were just as powerful as the three words I heard her tell me time and time again. Being with her like this and giving her all my love wouldn't replace all the things that she had endured in her life, but it could ease her soul, and that was a start.

"Yes, ma'am," I told her, earning a cute little smirk from her mouth.

I leaned down and captured her mouth with mine, gripping her body tightly before dashing up the stairs. She circled her arms around my neck and laid her chin on my shoulder, moaning softly. I bit back a groan and began taking two steps at a time to her room. Sarah was with Liberty, so the room was empty.

As soon as we reached her door, I shoved it open and didn't take my mouth off hers while walking toward the bed. I couldn't stop kissing her, drinking her in, feeling her soul connect to mine. We ended up bumping into things while moving in the dark. She giggled here and there, and that sound not only caused my heart to thump, it caused my soul to shake. Her laugh was the only antidote I needed on bad days, and our experience to get to this point in time washed away as her mouth continued to explore mine.
