Hey everyone. Even though I have my revised version available in my other book, many readers come to this OLDER DRAFT and want to read it.

But I personally recommend to read my newest version of Tethered Souls. New characters, scenes, story structure, and less lengthly chapters are written in my new book. The storyline in my rewrite differs greatly and will not do the story of Tethered Souls justice, if you read the older version first.

Come back to this book after reading my revision, if you chose to read either work. This ending is NOT the same as my revised ending. The older draft has many plot holes, drawn out story scenes, errors, and a poor representation of my book. The older version also has distasteful scenes that I literally loathe.

My characters, Amir and Luna, has a different friendship and relationship with one another in my new version.

So, here it goes . . . a few samples from my revision.

If you are reading this book for a book club assignment, a book review, or a contest, please see my other book to judge it fairly. Thank you.

Tethered Souls (Revised Sample)

🔸

Islamabad, Pakistan

AS THE EXOTIC FISH dashed back and forth, with scales like the most delicate of armor plating, Amir Khan studied them. While making their way up to the surface, he watched them opening and closing their tiny mouths as he sprinkled pieces of food. He didn't dare go to the break room first without feeding them. They were like his children; their needs came before him.

It was July eighth — the day after his thirty-third birthday — and he could hardly keep his eyes open. His family hosted a large gathering at their favorite café, Pakistani Delights, and they performed a karaoke contest.

Each of his cousins and their friends believed he should pursue singing one day, but that wasn't his aspiration. He enjoyed being involved with anything in the name of science. Biology, chemistry, space and the solar system, and physical health. He'd been captivated by it since he was young, and the entertainment industry wasn't what piqued his interest.

After doing his MBBS from Rawalpindi Medical University, he completed his education and specialized in genetics. Then he began working at Bukhari Research Facility in Islamabad and found himself surrounded by well-supportive colleagues.

While in the middle of replying to a distant relative on his phone, Amir heard a masculine voice down the corridor from his office, causing him to place his phone on his desk.
