/You look so much like him./

She despised the Goddess' compliment of her. Her hair was slowly losing the color of rich, silver blonde seen in the weaving of the finest silk. Yet now, it is slowly consumed into the abyssal black of demise.

Demise.

It fitted her perfectly. After all, she is the Thirteenth Gate.

Darkness was her only friend, but little did she know, she had allies who'd adore her from the bottom of their hearts.

Without a doubt, Alissa knows, the reason she wanted to be loved, was due to the fact that she had once received warmth, love and affection from a certain blonde. Now she wonders if the blonde will ever look at her the same way.

After all, Alissa is the Thirteenth Gate.

"Things are processing faster than expected." he slid his finger on the clean, tidy desk, searching for a speck of dust. Rather, searching for a surviving topic apart from Schelias and business.

"Yes! Um, things are...going smoothly, Y-you Grace."

*Oh to witness this sight.*

"Since it's been a long time since the Lord visited Schelias, why don't My Lady show him around for better cooperation in the future?" Leo disrupted the uncomfortable air between the married couple.

"A-about that, I have to attend the Church's council for a while." This lifted a brow from Augustus.

"Is it the Holy Church or-"

"Schelias' main church Your Grace." then it was fine for him not to accompany her. They would most likely examine what magic she possessed and free her.

"Ahem! Then I wish you both a safe travel!"

Just as the elegant butler snapped his fingers, they were both teleported to the main entrance of the mansion. Trying to process what just happened Augustus summoned a sword and beckoned.

"I'll kill him one day." Seeing the quarrel of their strong bond, Estelle giggled. In the distance they could here the trotting of a single horse, it was a hooded man in dark blue entering the territory.

As soon as he disembarked from the horse, he lifted his hood to reveal his sharp jaws coated with sweat, ocean blue eyes searching for mischief, followed by his smirk.

"Stelle!" He ran to hug his sister, however, it seems as if he had stopped halfway, his smile slowly became uneasy.

"A-ahaha! Greetings brother-in-law!" He turned to the Duke and bowed. Proceeding the attempt to hug his sister one more time, he froze again, so he simply kissed her hand.

*This damned Duke.*

"Eli, what brings you to Schelias," Estelle reached out to her little sibling, gesturing a hug.

*Ah, thank you for blessing me, Yggridisal.*

"And alone at that." Poor Elios, did not receive his prolonged hug, but was greeted by her slim hands twisting his ear, to top it off, Estelle smiled at Elios, but her eyes, her eyes were definitely not smiling.

"Ah,ah... S-stelle, let me go and I'll explain!" Done as told, she let go.

<OH I LIKE THAT 'RHYME'>

"I came here to inform you that House Yvonne will be hosting a tea party for their success in supporting Schelias, but that only reached to fools."

"Hmm, so they're taking the credit of House Octivus' hard work..." Estelle tilted her head, trying to think of a solution.

"The banquet is in two days, if we don't confirm things in time, this could lead to suspicion of House Octivus and our relationship with them." Augustus stepped in closer to Estelle, making Elios back off by a step.

"So be it."

"Estelle, this is an impo-"

"Huh?"

Both males finally united in one question. Estelle, not wanting to admit that she had to give in sighed.

"Even if we protest, they'll  surely have back-up from other houses. Moreover, this is House Yvonne we're messing with, many has the teeth, but don't know how to bite Yvonne. And few know, if it's poison or not."

"Where's Count Brooklyn?" Augustus asked. Estelle gave him information that he was locked up in the chamber of Schelias' basement.

"I have some business with him, you two carry on with the discussion." And just like that, he left.

------------------

"Stelle, this is a serious matter! All your devotion to Schelias will be ruined!"

"Elios!" Estelle banged her desk and sat down on a nearby chair.

"Calm down. I need you to do me a favor." Elios gulped, calculating the amount of support he can offer and the little time left, he was not sure he could achieve it.

"Go on."

"Escort Lady Rachel to the banquet and take these letters." She handed Elios a packet of letters, written back and forth from her companion, and back to her.

"I'll inform Lady Rachel tonight of this occurrence, surely we'll think of a plan-"

*No, there's not much time...I'll have to send word to her in a different way.*

"I'll get the preparations ready for it." Elios, turning away with pain, shut the door and was escorted to the guest's room.

Along the way he thought of the trust his sister embedded in Lady Octivus, however, he has yet to receive that much trust from her.

"Miss have faith in the Master enough to entrust this task." A maid with silver hair said as she bowed and closed the door.

Leaving the future Marquess in confusion, he laughed off the maid's words with relief.

"So be it."
