Author's Note

Hey!

So I know I haven't updated for a week now and that's because I have been struggling to break through from my writers block.

Anyway, some of the conversations in this chapter and the next are in Dutch because Skye's grandparents are from the Netherlands after all. I used google translate so, if you know Dutch and see that some of this stuff doesn't make sense, please forgive me.

ENJOY!!!!!

"Grandma!" I shouted as I sprinted to hug her.

"Skye baby!"

"Hoe gaat het met je?" I asked. I only spoke Dutch when I visited my grandparents and no-one else other than my parents and friends knew I could speak, read and write it ever since my sister and I were forced to live with my grandparents 10 years ago for a year.

"I've been good love, how are you beautiful girls?" She asked us.

"We are good grandma," Tessa replied. My friends have known my family since 8th grade so my grandparents are their grandparents and vice versa.

"Hoe is de school?" She asked as we walked to the car.

"It's tiring but we managing as always," Tori replied, my friends understood Dutch, they just couldn't speak it back. I have tried teaching them numerous times, they are just hopeless!

"Where is grandpa?" I asked.

"Oh he is at home love, he is so excited to see you," Grandma replied.

"Us too, it's been so long since we have seen him; because Skye, didn't tell us that she was coming here two months ago," Riley said giving me a playful glare.

"How is Sean, Riley?" Grandma asked.

"Oh he is great, I miss him already," She said.

"How about the rest of you? Got any boyfriends yet?” She asked us.

"I'm still single," Tessa sighed.

"I'm dating this guy named Tyler, but we currently taking a break," Tori replied.

"En jij Skye?" Grandma asked.

"It's just a long story," I said.

"Well, I guess we better get everything for tonight’s bonding session because, you are telling me all the details!"

The others just laughed at how dramatic and girly my grandma was; while I stressed on how I was going to tell her about my current love life.

On the way to my grandparents place I switched on my phone. Seconds later it started vibrating, indicating that I had new messages.

Hope you arrived safely. Love you. ~Mom

Hey beautiful. Hope you arrived safe and sound. Missing you already :'( ~R

I quickly texted my mom telling her I was fine before creating a new message to Ryan.

I miss you too! Can’t Sunday come already? Be goodJ. ~S

“I guess that’s him you are texting because, no girl smiles like that unless she is talking her man,” My grandma commented.

“Busted,” Riley laughed. I just blushed and looked at my screen.
