"So you're absolutely, one hundred percent sure you want this right?" Nike asked with Athena's face in her hands.

The latter gave a grim nod. The wisdom goddess wasn't exactly ready, but she wanted to get this over with.

"Because there is no going back once we tell them. You know that right?" The victory goddess looked deep into her lovers eyes.

"Are you trying to talk me out of this or what?" Athena asked with small smile.

"No of course not. I'm sorry. I just want to make sure that you really want this."

The grey eyed goddess stroked her hand across the angel's cheek.

"I know, but I do. I want them to know I'm yours."

The smile she got from her girlfriend assured Nike enough to know it was alright.

"Besides, what's the worst that can happen?" Athena winked.

A dozen and one things crossed her mind as she said it, but she couldn't tell Nike that. She had to at least seem confident.

"You don't want to know..." The angel said leaning her forehead against Athena's.

'Right. That's comforting.' The wisdom goddess thought.

For a moment they stood there in comfortable silence as they prepared for what was to come. The bad, but also the good. No matter how it turned out it would still be liberating and most likely overwhelming.

"We should go. They're probably waiting for us already." Athena said, breaking the silence.

Nike just nodded. She could feel her throat close. She hoped Athena would be able to speak because she most likely wouldn't be able to.

Both goddesses flashed themselves to the council room. A huge space with a bunch of thrones in a circular motion. Instead of actually taking her place in her throne Athena remained in the middle next to Nike. Ever close to Hestia and her warm fire of home.

Athena cast a glance towards her father. A lot of things must be going through the kings mind right now. Athena never called all the gods together unless there was an emergency.

Zeus gave a barely visible nod to his daughter. A sign that she could start saying whatever it was she had to say.

The latter took a deep breath. She took Nike's hand in hers and they locked eyes for a second. This was it. The moment everybody would find out about them. The moment they had been dreading, but also had been waiting for.

"There is something I-... We wish to tell you." Athena started.

Nike gave her girlfriend's hand a sqeeuze. At the moment she couldn't speak the words she wanted to, but she had faith that the wisdom goddess would. All she needed was a little push in the right direction.

"Nike and I... We're together." The daughter of Zeus said just loud enough for the other gods to hear.

The silence that followed was the worst. Until a little Hestia stood up from her fire and walked up to the pair of goddesses in the middle.

Little Hestia hugged the legs of the goddesses in front of her. She didn't speak words and she didn't have to. Athena and Nike felt the love radiate off of her.

Then came the high pitched scream of Aphrodite. She too ran towards the two deities in the middle and hugged the life out of them.

"Finally! I thought you'd never tell us!" The love goddess laughed.

"Wait. Athena and Nike are together? As in together together?" Apollo asked out of nowhere.

"I do believe that is what they just said." Artemis replied with a smirk.

The huntress winked at Athena. The latter got a golden blush on her cheeks.

"So let me get this straight... My sister is a d*ke?" Ares asked from his throne.

"Not exactly the way I'd put it, but yeah that about sums it up." Hermes chimed in.

"Perhaps next time use the word lesbian brother." He continued.

"Yeah yeah, whatever." The war god muttered.

None of the Olympians seemed to mind that Athena and Nike were a thing. Either they didn't care or they were extatique.

The only one that had remained silent was the king of the gods himself. Even though he hadn't said anything his eyes flashed with a spark of joy. Zeus asked for attention by letting the thunder rumble.

"If all of you have calmed down a little may I?"

Silence filled the room once more as the king of the heavens rose up from his trhone and walked up to the pair in the middle. But in contrary to earlier, this time it was comfortable and everybody's attention was focused on the god that was about to speak.

"My eldest daughter and my charioteer. A match made in heaven. Litterly." He joked.

"It was about time this happened. One can only keep the two of you apart for so long. Treat each other with the respect you both deserve. But Nike, in any argument, I will be forced to take Athena's side." Zeus continued.

He winked at the angel, but both of them knew he was completely serious. For a moment the victory goddess swallowed. The next she was picked up by Athena. As if to prove to the others she was hers.

Nike looked down at her girlfriend. She was so proud of her and never again did she want to hide it. The angel leaned down and kissed her warrior goddess' lips.
