"Since when do you stand on balconies at night?" Athena joked as she walked up towards Nike.

"Since I found out that all our big moments together happened right underneath the moon." The angel replied.

"Deep." The wisdom goddess said, wrapping her arms around her girlfriend from the back.

"Oh you have no idea." The victory goddess chuckled.

For a moment the two stood in silence enjoying the others precense.

"Remember when we first met?" Nike asked.

"How could I possibly forget?" Athena smiled.

"It was one of the most memorable days of my life. Which really says something." She added with a smirk.

"Father where are we going? It's the middle of the night. Can't we do this in the morning?" Athena yawned.

"No, by the morning it'll be over and she'll be gone." Zeus replied.

"Who will be gone?" His daughter asked.

"The one I'd like you to meet."

The wisdom goddess rolled her eyes. He litteraly chose this moment to be vague?

In the distance Athena heard music and cheers. The more they walked the louder they got. Until they stepped onto what seemed like the remains of a battlefield.

Bodies were scattered all around. Some in tact, others a little less. None of the people dancing around a huge fire seemed to mind.

She recognized both her brothers Dionysus and Ares. It was quite obvious both of them were drunk. Ares even held someone on his shoulders.

A young woman with angelic wings of pure gold. In one hand a laurel and in the other a cup of what Athena assumed was wine. Seeing as Dionysus filled it at least twice in the short time she was watching.

"Why did you bring me here?" Athena asked.

She was ready to turn around and leave. She didn't care for some drunks and their party and she'd most definitely not join them.

"Like I said, there's someone here that I'd like you to meet." Zeus grumbled.

"Now come on."

The thundergod and his daughter walked up to the merry band around the fire. They stopped in front of Dionysus, Ares and the angelic woman.

"Nike, a word please?" Zeus commanded the woman on Ares' shoulders.

"Sure boss man." She responded with a smile.

"Yo, brawny dude. Put me down, your daddy wants to talk with me."

Ares put her down. She took one arm of Athena and one or Zeus and pulled them along to one of the tents that were set up in a circular formation. Inside it was a little quieter but the sound of drunken soldiers and spirits still filled the air.

"So tell me boss man what do you need. And who is she?" The angel asked, sluring her words slightly and definitly checking out the daughter of Zeus.

Athena took the time to take a good look at the young woman in return. She wasn't that tall, she only reached Athena's shoulders. Her hair was dirty blonde and put up with a laurel crown weaved into it. She was wearing a simple grecian dress, but quite a revealing one.

The wisdom goddess couldn't decide if that had been the angel's choice or that it happened because of the partying.

One thing however truly captured the goddess' eye. The angel had honey colored eyes. They were gorgeous and the daughter of Zeus could feel herself slip away into the rich color. Almost as if she had been hypnotised.

"Nike, I'd like you to meet Athena. Athena meet Nike." Zeus introduced both of them.

The angel stuck out her hand. With a somewhat turned up nose the wisdom goddess took it.

"Oh she's a fancy one huh?" Nike chuckled.

Clearly the alcohol talked for her.

"Actually she's the new goddess of strategic warfare." The king of the gods said.

"She's the what now?" The angel asked.

"Including wisdom and a couple of other things." Athena continued for her father.

"How does someone like you end up on a battlefield?" Nike shrugged.

"Excuse me? What's that supposed to mean?" The wisdom goddess defended herself.

"You're too pretty for a battlefield everyone can see that! Have you ever even worn armor?"

"Actually I was born with it." Athena mumbled just loud enough for the angel to hear.

"But I could say the same of you. What are you the goddess of?" She continued.

"Victory." Nike smirked, letting the laurel she had been holding twirl around her finger.

"So a minor goddess?" The wisdom goddess stated bluntly.

"Excuse me?! I'll have you know I'm your daddy's personal charioteer missy!" The victory goddess exclaimed.

"Girls please!" Zeus interrupted.

"Be nice. You'll be working together a lot from now on. So better get used to one another."

Both goddesses just huffed in response.

"We were so mean to each other in the beginning." Nike chuckled.

"We were." Athena confirmed.

"We even refused to work together." The angel said, looking up to her girlfriend.

"Up until the moment I finally caved in and let you give me the directions to a victory." The wisdom goddess said, looking back.

"Finally realising you can't do everything on your own. A lesson you sometimes need to relearn." The victory goddess said.

"Don't be so wise. That's my job." Athena said, leaning in and locking their lips.

"I'll let you hand out a victory so we're even." Nike smirked when she pulled away.

The daughter of Zeus rolled her grey eyes and shook her head with a smile.

"I'd rather not. I'd be giving you away. I hate sharing." She said hugging her angel a bit tighter.

Nike's chuckle filled the night as she leaned into the hug.
