Epiphany ~ Chapter 39.

"Well Kai, Adora, the two of you know about this guy best; where do you suggest we find him?" Naomi stopped in her tracks, arms crossed,

"We definitely shouldn't be doing this, but we're going to try the most obvious place and check his office," Kai answered,

"Ah, Kai, if Guren is currently unreachable have you tried to contact Shinya Hiragi since they're close?"

Kai shook his head, "Shinya also went on the mission with Guren, if that's why he's not answering his phone I highly doubt he would either."

"Well if that's the case lead the way!" Naomi shrugged,

Kai nodded and led them to the office.

Meanwhile, it could already be considered too late, Guren had woken up rather perplexed until he caught glimpse of Kureto landing a final blow on his girlfriend.
His eyes widened and he tried to scream out at Kureto to ask him what he was doing and how he ended up where he was, only to find himself gagged and unable to move.

The sudden commotion finally made Kureto turn to face him a large grin stretching on his face, "One falls asleep as the other awakes?"

Guren looked over at Y/N, a bruise forming on her head and blood slowly leaking from her temple, at this point all he wanted to do was to make sure she was okay and at least bring some sort of safety to her and his unborn child, but the soldiers holding him down wouldn't let him do as much as turn his head,

"Wow Guren, it seems like I was right to not believe you; not only did you both actually have contact with each other but it seems to me that she's also knocked up." He mocked,

Guren could only grunt in warning, which obviously wouldn't be taken seriously by Kureto who had the two at his mercy,

"She was willing to sacrifice herself for you but I did say I have the final say over what happens to the two of you and well-" he walked over to Guren before stopping right before him,

"I've already decided, can you guess what it is?" He raised his sword, Guren looked up at him, catching a manic glint in his eye, this was probably it for him.

He looked over at the unconscious Y/N and could only be somewhat grateful that if it was going to end with one of them dying it was going to be him.

The door suddenly swung open and Kureto looked up, raising an eyebrow,

"What's this? Who let you in?" He lowered his sword,

Several loud thuds were heard as Adora walked in with Kai and threw the unconscious guards down at her feet a loud gasp was also heard from Naomi who's eyes laid on the sight before her, "We're going to get into a lot of trouble for this but I only did what I had to do as a doctor." Adora sighed,

"What by killing them?" Kureto looked at her in disbelief,

"I didn't kill them, I'm not bloodthirsty like you, they were knocked out with pressure points and some were knocked out by force they will wake up soon." She reassured, "Anyway, Lieutenant Major Hiragi, will you let me carry out my duty as a doctor? I'll accept any repercussions later."

"You're quite the gutsy one, first you burst into my office with a citizen might I add and now you're obstructing justice."

"Court martial me if you must," she took out her phone from her pocket and dialed a number, "I need you guys to come to the Lieutenant Major's office ASAP."

"And what if I kill you right here?" Kureto pointed his sword at her,

"I have paramedics on the way." She shrugged, "I guess they'll take away my body."
