-Y/N's POV-
"Here." I held out the thick book,

"Oh, did you read it?" Guren asked, taking it from me and reaching up to put it in the bookshelf in his office,

"Nope."

"Huh? Why not?" He looked at me from over his shoulder, a perplexed expression covering his face,

"Well I figured that if I did read the book, I would get too curious to the point I'd help you and you would like it." I explained in an almost threatening manner, earning a funny look from him, "I mean, surely you have a team helping you right?"

"Yes, I do..." he drawled, clearly struggling to see where I was getting at,

"Right! Then I trust you to do your best. I won't interfere from here unless you ask me to." I shrugged,

He let out a small chuckle, putting the book in place before walking up to me to wrap his arms around my shoulders and rest his chin on top of my head, "Geez. What am I going to do with you?" He murmured into the back hug,

"What do you mean? I'm going to be on my best behaviour." I pouted playfully,

He laughed in response before we enjoyed the short, comfortable silence between us, that was until Guren spoke,

"I have to go back for a meeting in two days." He announced suddenly,

"You'll be back though, right?" I turned my head slightly to look at him as I asked,

"Of course, but I'll have to go again after that since there will be a mission."

I sighed longingly a short wave of nostalgia washing over me, "I miss missions."

Guren gave me an incredulous look, "No you don't."

I began to reconisder, "Maybe not, but I still miss it." I crossed my arms, not making sense to him,

He rolled his eyes, "Yeah sure, that makes sense." He mumbled sarcastically,

"Of course it does!"

"Anyway. I'm gonna get some work done now,"

"Ok, I won't disturb you anymore." I got on my tiptoes to plant a peck on his cheek, which he responded by grabbing me by the waist and roughly returning it, making me laugh,

"See you later." His voice was low by my ear, sending butterflies to my stomach,

I stiffly nodded as I left his office, the small smirk on his face evidence that he knew his effect on me.

I closed his office door, about to make my way to the kitchen, however I didn't get too far before I was pulled into the living room, a hand slapping over my mouth to muffle the yelp that automatically escaped my mouth,

I peered behind me to find Naomi, "Why can't you just get my attention normally?" I glared at her,

"Because I'm up to something." She outrightly admitted, I frowned before nodding,

"What is it?"

"Look what I've got." She lifted her hand, diverting my attention to the bottle of saké,

"Why so secretive though, aren't you guys allowed to drink?" I cocked my head to the side,

"Well...yeah. But we usually end up drunk and then Guren lectures us the next day."

"So you get drunk in secret so he can't say anything?"

Naomi nodded,

"Fair enough." I excused, "Also, who's we?" I queried,
