Epiphany ~ Chapter 43.

It was funny that Y/N had suggested baby stuff as Guren had already thought about that a long time ago, the problem was he had went shopping with the most incompetent person ever, yet the least awkward out of all the possible candidates,

"You seriously left home early for this even though the mission is in a couple of days? And why did you even ask me?"

"Yes, I did." he rolled his eyes, "I would've chosen Sayuri and/or Shigure but they're way too diligent, it would've been embarrassing." He began explaining his train of thoughts,

"Mito would ask way too many embarrassing questions,

Goshi would just flirt with all the mums and mums-to-be and when he isn't he'd be making inappropriate comments about things he sees.

So that leaves you, Shinya. You're a tolerable balance of unbearable and not when you want to be and considering the more questionable stuff we've had to do this is nothing so it'll be the least embarrassing."

"Why not just ask the mother?" Shinya gave me an unimpressed glare,

"Because that ruins the element of surprise." Guren returned the glare,

"How romantic." Shinya waved him off, sarcastically, "What do you need anyway?"

"Adora sent me a list," Guren took out his phone and opened up the message, Shinya peered over his shoulder and whistled,

"That's a lot of stuff, at least she labelled it most and least essential."

"Where do I even start?" Guren groaned,

"Clothes, so the poor thing won't be chilling, naked in this cold, cruel world."

"Of course you had to make it dark; even so how do we know how big they're going to be?"

"Stop overthinking it, let's just go and see now and use your critical thinking skills later."

"Either way I'll be overthinking sooner or later." Guren almost physically facepalmed,

"Yeah, yeah. You're going to be happy you asked me to come by the end of this."

Guren was actually happy he brought Shinya, he needed a bit of his spontaneous, winging it attitude and Adora did say it's okay to get a few things wrong.

He picked up the pre-packed bag and rushed to his car, he had to get to the hospital as soon as possible.

Y/N's eyes slowly opened, she heard some low talking around her and was slightly confused,

"Oh, you're waking up, Y/N!" She heard Adora's voice, "How are you feeling?"

"Confused, what's happening?"

"You were poisoned, we still haven't found out who did it but they switched your medication with ibuprofen."

"You told me not to take that,"

"Exactly, but by the looks of it, you're okay now. We did have to do several surge-"

"Oi, forgetting me?"

Y/N looked to her side, "Forgetting? This is my first time seeing you for quite some time, Shinya."

"He said he's coming as the uncle." Adora scoffed,

"Ugh, yeah okay. By the way Adora I don't know what you guys did but I feel so much better." She stretched,
