It was lunchtime at school. I walked into the dining hall. Jo, Leighton, Fealan, Joshua were all sitting round the table waiting for me with their heads down. As I got closer I noticed every pupil had their heads down.

I sat down and felt a little freaked out by this. "What's going on," I shouted. I wish I hadn't now. They all looked up at me, blood dripping from their mouths.

I looked around to see every single pupil was the same, their eyes were black, I got up and ran for the door.

I got to the hallway and started running for the main doors. As I got there I found they were locked. I turned around and saw they had all followed me they were walking towards me snarling. Jo, Leighton, Joshua, and Fealan were right at the front.

When they were inches away from me they all started sniggering. Then Leighton spoke, "Baby, choose the darkness or die."

I screamed, "No, no. Stay away." They were laughing again, then they started moving towards me, their teeth snapping.

Vaguely in the distance I heard my name. "Gracie, Gracie, wake up! It's just a dream, baby, wake up!" I opened my eyes to see Leighton staring down at me.

I screamed again. "Shush, baby, what's wrong?" I looked at him carefully, he looked normal. Ok, it was just a dream.

"What you doing in my room?" He wiped the hair away from my eye's.

"Jo told me she sent you home, I had to come check on you." My tears flowed freely again.

"I spoil everything, I upset everyone." He pulled me up into his arms and kissed my head.

"No, baby. You didn't do anything wrong. My family is just embarrassed at how you got treated, including my Mum. My dad has gone through hell since leaving aunt Evie's house."

It was so nice being in his arms, I felt so safe. So what if I just dreamt that he was a blood sucking monster? Now I didn't care. But something in my head was cautiously telling me to be careful.

I looked up at him, "You never did tell me how you got in."

"Your Dad let me in, he gave me an hour. " I looked at the clock, it was only ten. Surprisingly, I hadn't been asleep long,

"Oh, ok. I bet he was surprised to have a boy on his doorstep."

"No, not really. He seemed quite excited. "

"Yep, so typical of my Dad. A boy turns up showing interest in his daughter, who by the way has led such a sheltered life, and he just lets him in without giving him the third degree."

He was in guffaw's of laughter now, he held me closer and buried his nose in my ear, "Can I keep you?" he whispered as his kisses trailed down my neck. Oh wow, my body went into spasms.

"Yes," was all I could manage without fainting.

I laid in his arms for what seemed like forever. Suddenly I felt complete, like somehow I was made for him.

I felt a little pang of guilt over the kiss with Joshua, but it never felt the way it did when Leighton kissed me.

He laid my head down on my pillow and kissed my lips gently. "Gracie you're so beautiful. I'm so glad I found you."

I smiled, his eyes were piercing through me. They definitely weren't black. I shuddered at the distant memory of what I'd thought was real but was, in fact, a dream.

"Are you sure you're ok, baby?" I nodded. "Ok, Well, I'll leave now. I only have three minutes left and I don't want to upset your Dad." He kissed me again. I'll see you tomorrow, gorgeous. Get some sleep." and he left.
