A/N - This chapter isn't really based on anything, but I was listening to 'Mother' by Danzig whilst I was writing. I've been really struggling with my creativity levels at the moment, so I'm not sure this is even worth posting, but I hope you all enjoy it anyway.

"There are three guards on the back entrance," you muttered, your finger pressing into the communicator at your ear. Your eyes continued to roam the front of the building, the small compact mirror in your other hand keeping your intentions hidden from any nosey party goers.  "Two on the second floor, making the rounds. Two at the front. One on the roof."

You waited patiently for the voice to crackle to life. "Thanks Princess," Tony's voice uttered, and you could practically hear the smirk emanating from him. "I'll see you inside."

"Not if I see you first." You lowered your hand, a bright smile pulling at your lips as you brushed the wrinkles out of the skirt of your dress. With a deep breath, you started up the path, headed for the guards at the front door.

"Name." The first guard looked all business, his eyes darting up from the clipboard in his hand to look you over.

"Good evening to you too," you chuckled, shaking your head slightly.

"Name," he repeated, his eyes hesitating on your for a moment. You allowed your smile to drop for a moment, looking a little startled by the bluntness of the guard as you glanced over to his colleague.

You hesitated for a moment. "Is your friend always this fun?" you asked him, allowing the smile back full force when he snorted at your comment.

"You have no idea," he muttered, his eyes roaming over your body shamelessly.

"You can't come in unless your name is on the list, miss-" the man started again, waiting for you to supply the details he was growing restless for.

Your hand quickly snapped out, pushing down the clipboard to draw his attention back to you fully. "Mrs," you corrected, your ring-clad finger tapping against the list. "And you won't find my name on the list, but my husband is already inside." Technically, you weren't lying. By now, Tony would have already made it into the building. "The prick always says he'll leave without me if I don't get ready quicker, and this time he decided to actually be good on his word. I keep telling him you can't rush perfection, but he never listens to me-"

"What's his name?" the more serious of the two guards started, pulling the clipboard so your hand fell from the page.

You met his eyes for a moment, holding his gaze. "Marcus Scarlotti."

"Funny," he muttered, a smirk pulling at his lips. "I've worked with Scarlotti a dozen times and he never mentioned a wife."

You raised an eyebrow at him. "My husband is a very private man," you told him, giving a small shrug.

"I can see why he keeps you hidden away," the other man interrupted, and you felt your stomach twist at the leering grin on he was sending you. "Pretty girl like you, best kept out of this stuff, nice and safe at home."

Your smile disappeared completely. "Jesus Christ," you bit out. "I tell you I'm a married woman, and your first guess is pretty little housewife?" He looked a little confused for a moment, and you shook your head, lifting your hand to your ear. "Baby, I'm going rogue."

"I'm on top of everything in here, Princess. Go wild," Tony's voice crackled back through your ear piece.

The two men looked confused as you grinned at them, dropping your hand from your ear. "You could've saved us all a lot of trouble if you had just let me in," you murmured, grabbing the clipboard from the first guard and ramming it up into his face, causing him to stumble back a couple of steps.

As the second man reached for a walkie-talkie at his hip, you lifted your elbow up, driving it into the side of his head and knocking him down slightly, only to bring your knee up into his face, sending him falling backwards.

Whilst they were both composing themselves, you pulled the slit in your dress to the side, drawing a knife out of a holster at your thigh. But before you could make a move, the first man grabbed your wrist, tugging you backwards against him, his other hand grabbing at your throat.

For a moment, panic ran through your mind. You had been compromised, and if Tony had to come to your rescue the whole mission would have been blown by one stupid overreaction. And the everything clicked. With one hand still in the guard's grip, your released the handle of the knife, letting it fall into your other palm. And then you drove it deep into his thigh, hearing him let out a surprised yelp of pain as you tugged it free again. Whilst he was weakened, your threw your head back, smack your skull into his nose and forcing him to release you.

As you span to face him, you reached out, grabbing the gun from his holster and holding it out at him, keeping your hands steady as a smile pulled at your lips. "Both of you on your knees," you started, nodding at the spot at your feet.

They hesitated for a moment, but as you raised your eyebrows, they gave in, moving to kneel in front of you.

"You were right," you told them, your head tilting to the side. "I'm not married to Scarlotti, thank God."

"I've got the files, Sweetheart. I'll be round to pick you up in a second," Tony's voice interrupted you.

Your smile grew as you took a step backwards, leaving the two men looking baffled. "Here comes my husband," you uttered, glancing up as the Iron Man suit came into view, landing beside you.

The visor opened, and Tony was grinning at you. "Hey Princess," he started, leaning in and pressing a kiss to your lips.

"Hiya handsome," you murmured, quickly holstering the guards gun. "Idiots told me I wasn't allowed inside," you added, a faux-pout on your lips.

Tony released a sharp chuckle, shaking his head as he glanced over at the two wide-eyed HYDRA guards. "Didn't like being told no, huh?" he teased, pulling you into his arms.

You shook your head, wrinkling up your nose at him. "I never do."
