A/N - This chapter was inspired by the song 'Give Me Love' by Ed Sheeran. I hope you all enjoy it.

You couldn't help but wait with bated breath as the phone rang. Even though you already knew that it would ring straight through to the answerphone, the voice you had been longing to hear for years now asking you to leave a message after the beep, that sweet lilt that you had hoped for from the moment you had realised what was happening giving you some comfort, even though you knew it never lasted for very long.

It probably seemed a little sad to the people around you. Knowing that every night, when you crawled into bed, you would settle into the same old routine, dialling the number that you had known off by heart long before Wanda had disappeared, and listening to her voice for just a few moments. But for those brief seconds, you stopped feeling so alone. It felt as though the world was a kinder place, a place that you belonged in. Just a single moment of hearing her voice was enough to keep you pressing forward; it made life worth living.

When Scott had come back to the Avengers Facility with an idea to turn back time, you had been sceptical. I mean, it was easy to be. Even after everything you had seen, the mere idea of time travel still seemed ridiculous. But, with a little convincing from Nat, you had agreed to the plan. When you'd called Wanda's phone that night, you'd left your first voicemail. It was lengthy and messy, and in all honesty, you weren't sure why you were actually still talking, but it just felt right.

"Hey," you'd murmured, biting down on the inside of your lip as you listened to silence on the other end of the phone. "So, Scott's had this idea to bring everyone back. He's calling it a time heist," you paused, letting out a snort of laughter. "I wish I could say I thought it was stupid, but if he's right, if he's even halfway right, and there is some way to bring everyone back-" you swallowed down the lump forming in your throat, shaking your head. "If he can figure out how to bring you back, it's got to be worth a try. I mean, everything is miserable here without you. It's like you left and the colour drained from everything, and I've just been living this dull, grey life for the last - God, how long has it been now? 4 years? 5? Shit, it's been too long, and everything is still so grey. I just want the colour back; I want you back. I need you-" The phone beeped, signalling the end of your message, and you released a disgruntled sigh, placing your phone back on your bedside table with a loud thud.

You'd felt foolish for the rest of the night, tossing and turning, with sleep avoiding you. No one else would get to hear your rambling, but it was still there, sitting in the ether, hidden away in the depths of Wanda's phone.

*Timeskip*

The Time Heist had gone to shit. Everything had gone wrong, and now, you were standing on a battlefield with only a handful of your friends to help you, facing an army of alien creatures, and this time there was no way you were going to win.

There was a part of you that was tempted to walk away and let everything take its course. Sure, the world was a horrid, dull place without half of the population, but there was no chance of success when you were so outnumbered. And then, you thought about Wanda. Whether you could bring her back or not, Thanos was the person who had taken her from you. He was the one that had made your life a living hell for the last 5 years, and now he was standing in front of you, and you could finally get the chance to get revenge for your loss.

You were just readying yourself for your first attack on Thanos when there was a strange whooshing noise behind you, and you quickly swirled around to face the incoming threat only to find a crowd moving through a portal, led by Wanda.

"You-" your words trailed off into nothing as her eyes fell to you, a bright smile pulling at her lips. "Is this real? Are you real?"

She nodded as you crept closer to her, your head tilting to the side as you attempted to make sense of what was happening in front of you. "I'm as real as real can be," she hummed, watching as a relieved chuckle slipped from your lips, your entire body shaking with the force of it. "I'm sorry it took me so long-"

You quickly shook your head, launching yourself in her direction and wrapping your arms around her, burying your face into her neck. "It's okay. You're back, that's all that matters."

*Timeskip*

Your body jolted upwards as you startled awake, sitting bolt upright on the bed. Your chest was tight and your mind hazy as your head turned from side to side, your eyes unfocused on anything in front of you. A soft sob slipped out of you as your hand scrambled for your phone, grasping around on the bedside table until it made contact.

As soon as you had the phone in your grip, you dialled Wanda's number, needing to hear her voice to calm your racing heart. It rang twice before the line clicked into place.

"Hey?" Even that word alone was enough to soothe you and you released a soft sigh. "Are you alright?"

You hummed your agreement, rubbing at your eyes. "I had a bad dream, and when I woke up, you weren't here-"

"Oh, Sweetie," she murmured, interrupting you slightly. "I couldn't sleep so I came to the kitchen to make some tea; I'm on the way back now. I'll be two minutes."

You swallowed around the lump in your throat. "Can you stay on the phone until you get back?"

"Of course, I can," she told you. "You want to tell me about the dream?" You grumbled out a muffled disagreement, settling back down into the bed and pulling the covers up around yourself. "Okay," she hummed. "Well, I got a new kind of tea this week. It's got Oat Flower, and Lime Flower, and Lavender in it, and it's supposed to be great for helping you unwind before bed."

"Does it taste good?"

Wanda let out a small snort of laughter. "I mean, it isn't the best thing I've ever tried, but it does the trick." You let out a soft contented hum at her answer. "I can see the door," she pressed on, and you shuffled into the bed a little deeper, smiling.

"You gonna come to bed now?" You could hear the keys in the door as you listened for Wanda's answer.

"Yeah, I think I'm ready to sleep now," she hummed, managing to open the door and throwing you a sweet smile when your head popped up from amongst the covers to look at her. "God, how do you always look so effortlessly cute?" she added as she pressed the door shut behind her, moving further into the room to put her cup down on her bedside table. She knelt on the mattress, leaning forwards until she was close enough to draw you into a quick kiss. "So beautiful," she murmured against your lips.

You shuffled closer to her, pulling her down into bed with you and burrowing close into her side. "I missed you," you hummed.

"I know you did, Sweetheart," she told you, pressing another kiss to your forehead. "You know, I finally finished listening to the voicemails you left me-"

"You listened to those?" Your eyes widened slightly, pulling back to look up at her.

Wanda's tongue darted out to wet her bottom lip. "I did. I felt like I missed out on so much of you, and I wanted to understand it all better-" her words trailed off and she released a soft smile. "I just wanted you to know that I need you too; always. I love you so much."

A small watery-eyed smile pulled at your lips as you gazed up at her, your expression so full of love that it left Wanda a little speechless. "I love you too."
