Mitch and Tiff had decided that we best be moving out if we were going to find Brooklynn, Kenji and Hap. They started to move bags we had never seen before from one of the yurts, probably their storage yurt. "Did you get the special equipment?" Mitch asked as he and Tiff crossed paths.
"I already told you I did," Tiff replied sternly.
"I know, its know its just sometimes you forget, like that time in-".
"Three years ago," Tiff said as she shoved a bag into his hands, "let it go". I watched them go around the place. They paid us no attention as they moved back and forth. When we asked what was in the bag, they simply said it would help them find Kenji, Brooklynn and Hap.
"Um what's going on?" Darius asked as he watched all the new bags that had appeared, "do we really need all this stuff to go after Kenji and Brooklynn and Hap?"
"Well...we just want to be prepared for whatever is out there," Mitch said, "after all your boat is coming in three days, you all want to be in one piece right?" My head shot to him and I stared at him suspiciously, something was up.
"What?" Yasmina said as she stood up, "you said the boat would arrive in two days".
Mitch simply shrugged his shoulders, "two to three days, right Tiff?"
"A-hundred percent," Tiff replied, "now how about you get that stuff from Hap's yurt".
"Um, I thought Hap said no-one's allowed in his yurt," Sammy pointed out. Tiff laughed and patted her on the shoulders, then she stood her up and lightly shoved her over to the rest of us. The four of us formed a small group and got straight to what was troubling us.
"I don't like this," Yasmina said, "how do you forget what time your boat arrives?"
"And their being real shady about what's in those bags," Sammy said.
"I thought I heard clinking, like metal in those bags, what would they need that sounds that heavy?" I said as I glanced back at the two adults.
"All three of you are just as paranoid as Brooklynn," Darius said, "their business is their business, we don't need to know". I looked at him with a raised eyebrow. "Okay, fine, I'll prove the three of you wrong". He quickly devised a plan and we put it into action. Sammy walked up to Tiff and started asking what was in the bags, she quickly started dashing to each bag pretending to try and open them, which Tiff rushed around trying to stop her from doing so. Yasmina cornered Mitch and began asking him the first random questions that came into her head. Darius and I nodded to each other and ran straight into the yurt that Mitch and Tiff repeatedly came out of with new bags. Crates and bags filled the place, though there was nothing dangerous or suspicious in here at all, these crates probably just held more of the food that they fed us with earlier today. Darius picked up a mug on a table, "real suspicious guys," he mumbled sarcastically.
I opened a crate and my eyes widened, "yes, suspicious indeed," I said, then I reached into the crate and pulled out the black pistol that was in the crate. I showed it to Darius, he stared at it completely shocked. I put the pistol down and moved another crate over. We saw even more weapons, a crossbow, two sniper rifles, bear traps. There was something in the corner with a white cover over it. I walked over to it and lifted the cover, the dead eyes of a Sinoceratops stared back at me, its head was the only thing here, the rest of its body was probably still in the jungle somewhere. I jumped back in fright and stared at the dead dinosaur. What was really going on here? The entrance to the yurt opened and Mitch was standing in the doorway, he was glaring at us.
"What are you doing in here, boys?" He said slowly and angrily. We stepped back as he walked into the yurt.
"Your...your," Darius tried to say, but he couldn't get it out. Mitch finished his sentence for him.
