Even Jungkook had been on the other end of the facetime, with Joonie and the other members, when they'd gotten home that evening. That was enough to confirm Mimie's suspicions that the day's events were to have serious consequences.

"You should let us talk to Sejin, Mimie," Namjoon had argued after listening to the girl recount the events that had followed her and Seo leaving the set.

"Thank you for the offer, Joonie, but I think Sejin made a good point and these are my consequences to face." She offered a half-hearted smile.

Their manager had made a very good point about her having made herself too comfortable at Bighit, considering she wasn't forced to sign a non-disclosure agreement or abide by the usual rules of their interns.

"You didn't invite him to the set though, he showed up of his own accord."

"He shouldn't have known where to find me to begin with." she refuted with a tired sigh. Spending a whole afternoon arguing with a person can have that effect. The members were following Joon's lead, trusting him to know the best way to comfort her. Hearing Mimie's heavy sigh, as clearly as if she were in the room with them, the leader chose to drop his line of defence.

"Do you want to get breakfast together tomorrow?" he offered, ignoring his teammates' confusion at the way his resolve vanished in a split second.

"No, I'm fine, really," she managed a broad enough smile to appear convincing without overdoing it. Shaking off the day with a nice bath was all she wanted to do. Bidding the members a final goodnight, she disappeared from Namjoon's computer, leaving a canyon of silence in Joon's room.

None of the members really knew what to say and the longer it remained quiet, the more anxious the maknae grew, trying to disappear in the corner of the room. He could still hear RM threatening promise rattling in his brain.

"I'll deal with you later," the elder had grumbled after Mimie and Seo made a swift exit with the assistance of Bighit Security's infamous soft touch. 'Later' had come and gone, without a single word exchanged between Jungkook and RM. Now, they were heading straight through 'Much Later' and risking getting caught in 'Too Late.'

"You kissed Hyemi?" Joon finally turned his attention to the sweating boy displaying his iconic Bambi eyes. Had Namjoon heard his thoughts? Finally, he managed a slight nod of the head, though trying desperately not to commit to anything incriminating. The disappointment in the elder's eyes cut through Jungkook worse than he'd feared. His heart was draining from the gaze itself. JK could practically hear the rapid blinking, which was a tell-tale sign that Namjoon was holding himself back. "How could you?"

That was a good question. How could he? Honestly, Jungkook wasn't all that sure. He hadn't just broken a promise he'd made to Namjoon, he'd also ruined a budding friendship with a person who meant the world to everyone around him. On top of that, his impulsive choice had cost her a boyfriend and god knows what else. Not that Seo was a particularly impressive boyfriend. He'd embarrassed her and gotten her into trouble, insulted her and her friends, and then required a security escort from the area. He wasn't exactly Hyemi's prince charming, but it didn't need to end so horrendously. If Jungkook had just kept his mouth closed, none of this would have happened.
