"Jungkook-ah, come get your suitcase," Jin called to the man too busy staring at the lake to even closed the car door behind him. Everything about the set was exactly as he'd remembered it being. "Yah, Jungkook-ah!" The second yell grabbed the maknae's attention. Pulling his bucket hat over his tired eyes, Jungkook accepted the suitcase from Jimin who acknowledged his troubled expression by patting at his shoulder.
Jimin had been up and about earlier that morning when Jungkook had flung himself secretively into Suga's room, so he had his suspicions that something was wrong. Now, seeing the youngest walking around like he was carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders, he was certain. Asking would have to wait, though, because the cameras were already rolling.
The first chance he might have got to talk to Jungkook off camera would be the following lunchtime. However, by this time all the members had picked up on the change in the youngest and only Yoongi seemed to be settled. But JK wasn't a willing participant in the conversation so Jimin had quickly abandoned this attempt. Jungkook had hardly spoken except during the prepared activities and even then he seemed to be holding back, even accepting losing at foot volleyball without much fuss.
After lunch, the cameras were turned off again and the members were given half an hour or so free time whilst the afternoon's activity was set up on the grass area. They were corralled up to the top house because supposedly it was a surprise, but since Jungkook had been the one to suggest it, that lie wasn't very believable. The truth was they wanted to keep the members out of the way so nothing was broken during the set-up, most prominently, they were worried about Namjoon, but it wouldn't have been fair to only ban one of them.
"I have to call her," Joon appeared to be arguing with Jin but the elder man didn't appear to hold a stance on the topic and was just laughing and following Joon around.
"Call who?" Hobi asked, glancing up over his phone
"Mimie,"
"Apparently some guy sent a massive bouquet to her at the HYBE building," Jin cackled, distracting the members from noticing Yoongi's eyes darting over to Jungkook.
"She didn't even tell me she was seeing someone..." Joon grumbled, still searching for his phone. JK had to physically restrain himself from reminding Joon how much of a dick he'd been to Mimie on tour, so no wonder she hadn't said anything.
"How do you know?" Yoon questioned, more invested in the gossip than he usually would be for Jungkook's sake.
"Are you joking? How do you not know? The crew won't shut up about it and Sihyuk-nim has postponed his arrival because he wants to talk to her about it."
Whoever it this guy was seemed to have made quite the impact and Jungkook couldn't settle his feelings about it. On the one hand, the idea of someone else sending her flowers in such a romantic gesture pissed him off. Even though he knew full well he had no right to be annoyed. On the other, he knew this guy had made a mistake. Mimie was a low key sort of girl, she didn't enjoy big gestures or lots of attention and she definitely wouldn't like it at her place of work. So clearly he didn't know her very well and as a result, Jungkook wasn't too worried.
