"Wait- What?"

I glance over at Kyla. She's standing, arms crossed, but expression confused.

"Rei," Artemis turns to her. "Meet my granddaughter,"

"You had a kid?" Rei asks, staring at her older sister.

Artemis just nods, gesturing later.

"It's nice to meet you, I'm your great aunt," Rei extends a hand

Kyla blinks over at her, before taking her hand.

Ryleigh seems uncomfortable with the entire thing, and I hold my hands to her shirt.

I write out: u ok? on the bare fabric.

"Not really," She whispers in my ear.

"We'll talk later, on the roof," I respond before the family reunion conversation ends, and the women turn back to me. Why are they all so intimadating?

Kyla and me had grown up with eachother. I'd seen her worst phases yet as she stood next to her family, I cowered. Rei looked the most peaceful, but there was something menacing about her aura. And Artemis, Rike, well she's just terrifying.

"You're not allowed to do anything stupid, not until we figure this out." Artemis says, glaring at me.

"What?" I question. "When have I ever done anything stupid?"

That's when Kyla snorts. Oh shit.

"You just got back from recovering from a kidnapping, were poisoned. have been kidnapped at least once, got caught on several jobs, where I had to come save your ass, and that's just the beginning." She starts,

"Do I need to mention the time you got stabbed, or shot, or beat the fuck up by a guy in a street fight?" No more, please.

"That's enough," Artemis cuts off Kyla.

Rei is frowning at me now.

"Ok, ok, I won't do anything stupid,"

"What color are Dabi's eyes?" Rei cuts in to all of our surprise.

I blink for a few moments, and the others are all surprised by her authority.

"Blue," Ryleigh says.

"Can you be more specific, please?" She asks, voice desperate.

"They're more cyan, but in different lighting they shift from ice to the sky,  it's peculiar," I respond.

"No romantic relationship, my ass," Kyla mutters, disagreeing with her earlier statement.

Rei seems to be pondering her very existence, when Artemis sets a hand on her shoulder.

"So you believe that our ally, might be Touya?"

Rei nods. And Artemis folds her into her chest. The room becomes silent, as Rei cries to her sister, and me, Kyla, and Ryleigh scratch down notes on a piece of paper.

Dabi = Touya Todoroki?

Hawks = Missing

The league of villains = gone

Shigaraki + Toga = With us

Rei = Artemis's sister (Rike's?)

"So are you dating Hawks or Dabi?" Kyla asks, the opposite of subtly, when the two older women left the room.

"What?" I ask.

"Dabi," Ryleigh says at the same time.

"No, I'm not with either of them,"

"But-"

"No 'but's Ry." I cut in. She huffs in response.

"Well do you love either of them?" Kyla questions, before adding. "Romantically."

I'm not sure.

"I don't think so,"

"That doesn't help us," Kyla says.

"They both love you," Ryleigh adds.

"And how would you know that?"

"The way their faces go soft when they talk about you, the way Dabi looked at you when they came here for the meeting, the way Hawks remembered you, and how much they were both willing to risk to find you," She states matter-of-factly.

Do I love them?

"Think about them both, just for a few moments, Anielle,"

And I do.

Hawks. I've known him forever, and he and I were inseparable when we were kids. He was training with my dad. I can probably still outrun him, except if he cheats and uses his wings.

He kissed me.

A pause while I recollect my thoughts.

I don't think I liked him kissing me. He's like a brother. I love him like a brother.

Then there's Dabi.

He's a pain in my ass. I've only known him for a few months. But he saved me. Even when he could have let me die. He treated my arm the best he could.

He took me home. I felt safe there. In his own place, where it was his own secret. He trusted me.

I think I trust him too.

"Stop," Kyla's voice says, and I pull my head away from where it had rested on Ryleigh.

"Hm?"

"Which one were you thinking about?" She asks,

"When?"

"When I pulled you out of it, dumbass."

Oh.

"Dabi, why?"

"You were smiling, that's why."

"Oh," I sigh.

"It's nothing," I say.

"Sure it's not," She smirks.

Sorry this chapter is short. I'm working on plotting and adapting this story. As always thank you all for reading. I estimate there being 20-30 more chapters of this story before it goes back under editing. At that point I will probably be adding extras and fillers.

I would also like to say that here is my formal announcement for the planned sequel!

It's called Blue Like Dreams, and will follow the ending ship's children dealing with hero society. There will be three to four POVs like this one, and if you want spoilers you can check out 'My WIP Book' on my profile for the character plans I have.

If not here's the names so you can get hyped. Aki, Keiko, Darya, and Kitt.
