The date? I guess...

Hawks POV

I couldn't stop thinking about that girl. Silver hair. Who would have thought? And her eyes. They were two different colors. Like something you'd read in a book. Both the same base a hard green. One was more blue than the other though. They both reminded me of the woods.

"Argh," I groan shaking my head and rubbing my eyes. A couple people from the office turn to look at me. She'd destroyed the feather. And I knew her face, but from where?

"I'm heading out," I say and most of the people around me rolled their eyes.

I take off from the roof to avoid the crowd. Then fly straight towards the last place I called home.

The woods had grown around the abandoned estate. Windows shattered. The spring had come nicely in the forest though. Flowers and ivy overgrew the brick work. I stopped to the ground at the front door. Or at least where there was one. The wood had rotted away. Inside the halls were littered. I made my way upstairs though.

Gliding down the old hall I find the remnants of a room two girls once shared. The wallpaper was torn jaggedly. The whole room almost destroyed. Though my eyes land on a small crown.

It lies on the floor blue, and green stones held together. I tuck it into my pocket, before collapsing to the floor and sobbing. Sobbing for the girls who had been lost, in the anger of a madman.

Anielle POV

The note to meet him was hidden in my pillow. Though it burned me with guilt. I could never go on a date with a hero like him. But he had been so kind. Also if I ever needed a spy having him wrapped around my finger would come in handy.

I glared and then proceeded to flip off my problems. Namely the pillow.

Ryleigh came barging in the room and immediately started staring at me.

"We need to have words." She said.

"What? Why?" I ask turning to her.

"Because your hung up on something, probably someone."

"I am not." I say.

"You looked the same way when you were in your last relationship,"

"Argh," I grumble glaring at her.

"If I tell you will you buzz off?"

"Only if you answer my questions."

I stick my tongue out her, and gesture for her to start.

"So what's the thing in your pillow about?"

My head whips to her. "How did you know about that?"

"My sleep schedule is so fucked up that I see everything,"

"Language. Either way it's an invitation to a date type thing,"

"With your blue eyed, black haired boy, who most likely has a tragic backstory?" She asks suggestively about Dabi.

"No." I say sighing "Life isn't some romance novel Rye, he's nothing but my ally."

"Well then who?"

I shrug grabbing the note out. His signature at the top. I hand it to her and she gasps. Looking at me. Then at the note. Then back.

"No. Fucking. Way."

"How do you think I reacted?"

"You have to go. What day is it?"

I look down sheepishly. "Today."

Her eyes drop to the piece of paper. Then to her phone. Then to the me.

"Stand up now."

I did.

"This address is to one of the nicest restaurants in the city," I look to her confused. "You have to wear something formal,"

She runs to our dresser pulling out the dress I had bought.

"Your wearing this."

"No, I'm not,"

"It's the only formal piece of clothing you own,"

I groan. Then take the dress sidling into the bathroom. I take my time slipping it on. When I came out she's dangling backwards off my bed.

"You look so pretty,"

"I do not," I say sitting awkwardly beside her.

"You have to finish getting ready,"

I poke her in the side sending her into a fit of giggles before going to do my hair and makeup. My makeup was easy enough. Soft gold eyeshadow, light eyeliner, lip gloss, and pulling my hair into a looser braided crown.

I throw on a pair of gold detailed sandals, Artemis has bought them for me for a mission. They still fit thankfully. Ryleigh smiled at me as I left.

Time skip because as usual I can.

The restaurant was crazy fancy. At first I thought I would have to go inside alone, but I heard the flap of wings behind me.

"You came," Hawks said. Almost sighing in relief.

"Yeah, I guess I did,"

"I set us up so that you wouldn't have to be seen with me inside," He adds leading me through a garden to the side of the building.

"Oh," is all I can say. He's being so kind? It confuses me.

"So, I- well- I don't know you, so would you rather there was word in case I talk about a touchy subject?"

He seems so nervous I almost laugh. "Like a safe word?" I ask.

"Uh yeah- like that,"

"How about roses?" I ask glancing to the bushes along the garden.

"Perfect,"

We find ourselves at a hidden table. There was a small creek leading behind the garden. A light gurgle coming from it. The lights twinkled, and it reminded me of a movie.

Hawks pulls up my chair and I sit down, the he seats himself almost falling from his chair due to his wings. I laugh a little at that, and his head jerks up. A light blush spreading across his face.

"So where are you from?" He asks finally.

"Around here," I respond gazing at the gardens.

"Do you live with your family or?" He continues drawing out the last word.

"I guess you could call them that," I smile thinking about Ryleigh, Kyla, and even Artemis.

"Do you not talk much?"

I turn to look at him. "I guess I really never know what to say," He nods as if in understanding.

"I must say I'm rather surprised," he says.

"By what?"

"You really thought I wouldn't recognize you, Anielle?"

I hadn't told him my name. He knows. He Knows. HE KNOWS. I sigh before responding,

"Sorry Keigo, I thought somethings were better left in the past,"
