Long Time No See

A/N: I'm fixing Season 7's Episode 9, "Old Friends Not Forgotten". Even though months have passed since I watched the final season, I'm still royally pissed at Dave and his crew for not giving Anakin and Ahsoka the hug they deserved.

Blip, blip!

"Skywalker here."

"General," greeted the familiar voice of Clone Captain Rex. "There's something you might want to see."

Anakin glanced at Obi-Wan, who, in-turn, shrugged. Neither could sense one particular emotion in Rex's Force signature.

The younger man, however, had a stronger bond with his Captain than the ginger Master did, but even he could not sense the latter's feelings clearly.

Pride? Joy? Slight sorrow?

Shaking himself out of his reverie, Anakin looked back up at Rex as he turned to leave. "I'll be there shortly."

"Oh, and sir?"

Skywalker raised a brow.

"You should bring General Kenobi with you." And with that, the connection faded.

"Rex, what was so important that you had to call us here during our free time?"

No response came from the Captain. He simply stared his General in the eyes before glancing swiftly at the holo-projector before him.

Anakin followed Rex's gaze. His vocal cords tightened as all of a sudden, he stopped dead in his tracks. Beside him, Obi-Wan's eyes widened, letting out a soft gasp as he, too, froze. Standing beside Bo-Katan Kryze was a familiar figure they'd both come to love dearly before she walked away years prior.

"Hello Master," said Ahsoka Tano, "it sure has been a while."

Long seconds flew past.

Anakin was at a loss for words. He had to be dreaming. "Ahsoka?" He croaked, voice cracking. "Wake me up from this cruel dream," he begged, feeling his eyes beginning to glass over. "Please."

"You aren't dreaming, Anakin," her soft voice fluttered over to him. "I'm here."

He stumbled forward, rushing towards his little sister's hologram as her outstretched hand slowly inched towards him. Although he was not with her currently, he may as well have been. Anakin carefully laced their fingers together, hoping against hope that he wouldn't be woken up, that this wasn't simply a vision too good to be true.

Ahsoka sent her brother a bright yet watery smile, one he returned without hesitation. Their decaying, weakened Force bond had suddenly been repaired; color and emotion flooded through it. Neither needed words to communicate their feelings to the other. From the early years of the Clone War, they spent fighting side-by-side, Anakin and Ahsoka could read each other like an open book. Today was no different. Their eyes shone with untold stories of the past, dying to be told. As blue stared into blue, only one emotion was conveyed.

I love you.

Yet, all good things must come to an end. Ahsoka's flitted to the other Jedi in the room. "Hello there, Master Obi-Wan," she greeted politely, bowing her head slightly.

"Greetings, Ahsoka, my dear."

"Now that we've all had the chance to catch up," Bo's voice interrupted, "we should return to discussing the topic at hand."
