Therese patted her daughter's hand. "I'm fine, dear. Just listening intently." Then she turned her face to Rene. "You think this will truly help her career? What if she doesn't win?" "Maman, that doesn't matter right now. How do you feel?" Theresa tried to push her to the side again, but Celine shook her head. "What's going on?" "What's going on is you have a huge opportunity." "I think this will boost your career by such a huge margin we can't take the risk to say no.It will do more for you than three years of marketing." Rene insisted. Celine bit her bottom lip, glanced at her mom, then smiled brightly. "Of course I'll go! You'll be there with me, right?" "Of course, I will. You'll need your agent there with you." Rene assures. Even as Celine went on about her excitement, what she'd pack for Dublin and what she'ddo and what she wanted to sing. But Rene's noticed that Therese got quieter and quieter as Celine got more and more excited. Normally she'd be just as bubbly. Theresa rubbed her right arm and closed her eyes. She was deathly pale and seemed much weaker than she had even ten minutes ago. Rene shook his head and Celine stopped talking to look at her mom as well. She stood up and shook her head. "We're going to the hospital, Maman." "I don't need it." "Then go to make me feel better." Celine insisted, pulling Therese up and walking her to the door with Rene's help. Therese didn't complain as Celine and Rene got her into the passenger seat.
