She'd put off anything and everything to make sure Rene is okay. She climbs out of her car, then walks carefully across the icy parking lot. She won't add to his concern or distract from his son by getting hurt. She slowly heads up from the reception, taking her time so he has as much time to figure out what's going on as possible. She's going to do whatever it takes to make it better. Already, she's planning to order the family food and make sure they have a hotel in the area that can accommodate them so they can all stay close to Jean-Pierre. She just needs to hear exactly what's going on before butting in. After a deep breath in the stare well, a shiver teases her spine. She should have worn a heavy jacket, but she didn't even think about it. All she could think about was getting to Rene, easing his pain, and doing whatever it takes to make him and his family feel better. Celine is determined to prove she can handle things that are supposedly just for real adults, the ones that are over the age of thirty-five. And that she can handle them well. Even though she'd never wish something like this one Rene, she's ready to take care of things for him.

Rene

After arriving at the hospital, Rene goes to the nurses station and gets all the information he needs on his son. Before the nurse can tell him Jean-Pierre's condition, he sees Ann-Renee and Ann-Marie talking outside of the room his son is in. The nurse leaves him with the women and he hugs them both, dropping kisses on the topsof their heads. Ann-Renee takes a slow breath "You came.""Of course. Nothing would keep me from being here." He assures. Then he turns to the nurse. "What condition is he in? Do we have any information about what happened? Is he conscious? Is he currently with a doctor? Does he need surgery?" "Easy, Rene. That's at least one too many questions." Ann-Renee whispers. "He's in surgery." The nurse says simply. "Between the glass that is imbedded in his body and the trauma from the crash, he has a lot of issues and potential problems. The doctors will give an update when he is out of surgery and is in observation. I don't have a time table." Rene tries to see if that's all the questions he asked, but he can't remember and it doesn't really matter, does it? His son is in surgery and nothing will matter until he comes out of surgery, alive and well, which is exactly what Rene needs. He's so young. Jean-Pierre can't be taken from the world before he's actually lived in it! Rene paces in front of the women even as Ann-Renee goes to sit with her husband. He holds her hand tightly, his leg bouncing. They're both pale, and full of worry, that's obvious to everyone, including Rene. But he can't sit down. He can't sit still. He's craving more information about his soon – needs it really. And it might be hours before he hears anything at all. How can they not send a nurse to go look through the glass, like there is in those damn soap operas. At least let them know if he's stable or not. Rene walks all the way down the hall, noticing a vending machine where nothing sound appetizing, and back, trying to shake off what he's feeling. But he can't. He tries to sit with his daughter, holding her hand. "You weren't in the vehicle with him, were you, Ann-Marie?" Rene asks.
