Of course she would want some people she knows there. Rene should have thought of it earlier. One of the guys laughs. "Imagine Rene over here waltzing in front of a crowd!" "I can't wait to see you on the dance floor!" Another teases. The secretary joins in, giving him a wolf whistle and making Celine giggle. The whole thing raises Rene's spirits after the strange encounter yesterday between Celine and Denyse. Again, his worries fade away. Of course, that doesn't last long. "I don't know a single man that can remain friends with one ex-wife, let alone two. And to dance with them in front of everyone?" One of the sound guys shakes his head. "I have three wonderful kids." Rene reminds. "I love to spend time with them and that requires communication and kindness with the exes. I should set a good example for them and kindness goes further than demands." Rene assures. No one can argue that, but he doesn't want to get off track already. He clears his throat. "We only have one more song and, with the holidays coming up, let's call today done." "It is getting late." Someone says. Suddenly everyone's focused on getting home and taking care of things instead of on Rene's personal life. He exhales and turns to Celine once everyone is gone. He helps her with hercoat and guides her to his car, determined to have more time with her. As he shuts the door for her, he takes a slow breath, trying to maintain control over himself and the work place. It's always been easy, so why does it suddenly feel so complicated?
