"Of course." She kicks her feet back and forth, trying to shake off the worry. "I can't believe you're not joining me ... the team." "You have won over the world. You can do anything – with or without me." He assures. "It's only a week." "I know." Why does that one comment make her feel like a child all over again. "You will stay for breakfast!" Therese insists. "Of course." Rene answers, then gives Celine a face that she recognizes. The one of a man put in line by her mother. Between her father and her brothers she's seen it plenty. No one denies her mother. It's one of the many things that Celine loves about her, one of the many reasons Celine wants to be as strong as the woman in the kitchen. They help her mother in the kitchen until she swats them away, saying they're taking up more room than they need and slowing her down rather than helping. Celine sets the table instead. She keeps glancing at Rene every chance she gets and notices his smile when he catches her. She bites her lip to keep from laughing out loud. They make it through breakfast by talking about Dublin, promising to show the photos once they're developed and Rene saying over and over how proud he is of Celine for achieving all she has. Time goes by too quickly though. Before she has a chance to slow things down, Rene is headed for the door with his suitcases in hand. Therese reminds Celine that dishes are her job, Singing Sensation or not and she promises she'll do them after she sees Rene out.
