His little speech makes her eyes misty. She quickly finishes the coffee to hide how much it means to her, as if Rene doesn't know the effect he has on her. "If you keep talking to me like that, Rene, we're never going to leave your apartment." "Ah," he chuckles, "normally, that would be a good thing, but you're right. We have much to do today, don't we? She nods gently and rubs his hand. "I'm assuming I can't steal you to go shopping withme?""Considering I would want to follow you into the changing rooms and wrap myself around you, absolutely not." He jokes. "I have some work to finish up before I'm able to have any fun." "We should put a limit on how much you work." Celine grumbles. "I feel like you're going to work yourself to death and I'll lose the man that I love most."Rene pauses a moment, then his face softens as he stands. He kisses Celine's temple. "You remove every stress from my life and I love working with you and supporting you. If or when it becomes too much, I promise to sit down and let my old heart rest." "Good." She says, taking him at his word. When they finally get back in the car together, Celine looks to Rene. She's come to expect limited silences between them, but now he wears a perplexing expression. It's as if he's calculating something, trying to figure out exactly how something should work before talking to Celine about it. She nudges him. "Is something already weighing on your mind?" "I just hate having to spend so much time apart."
