A diamond hidden within the gray line

Chapter 15: Bizzare encounter.

-Max pov-

Two days have passed since my body ached all of a sudden. It had to be muscle cramps...right? And if it was just that, then...why did it make me doubt who i really am? Was i a human? Or..much more, like my stepdad told me? Whatever happened, i saw the look on kamek's face while i stumbled around before sitting down...he clearly saw something i didn't. But while that happened, it felt as if...something...unlocked within myself. It was as if a key was turned and a door with three locks began to open, but obviously not all the way...i can't help but be curious...where does the door lead to? What is on the other side of the door that feels like...freedom, and a higher purpose?

Eh, i can't dwell on that now..especially since my family is far more important than wondering what's behind some weird ass door i can't physically see. I'm more curious about seeing what's outside my bedroom windows. One of which is close to my bedside, and the other is behind my tv stand and the space between that and the window to my amazement, is enough for me to sit on the floor...not that i would ever sit on my own floor.

Anyway, the same could be said about the other one. But before i could even head over to my bedside window, i hear a knock on my half closed door. "It's ludwig. Can i come in?" He asks, noting that ludwig was always polite when it came to entering someone's room.

I also noted that ludwig hardly ever does this. Most of the time, he's usually in his room playing on his piano. Something must be up, and his aura made it quite clear.

"Yeah, sure. Is uh..something wrong?" I ask him as he opens the door.

-Ludwig pov-

Looking in max's room, not only do i see that he enjoyed keeping his fan on, making his room feel quite cold upon entry, i also see that he's made some changes. His walls have been painted a soft toned navy blue, making his room look even bigger than it already is. Heh..no wonder why larry, iggy and everyone else talks about his room so much! He even bought a wall art of a lake and placed it on the opposite wall, where if you were to lay on his huge bed of his it would be the first thing you see aside from his tv that is still on and i saw that he's..watching cartoons.

I would expect lemmy to be watching cartoons, but max? Hmph..apparently he and lemmy enjoy the same exact thing! Before i answered, i took note that his recent purchase is a white mini fridge he placed right beside his nightstand where a mountain dew can that hadn't been opened yet is sitting and a trash can for his empty cans was also beside his new mini fridge.

At least max's room isn't messy, unlike SOME of my brothers. Don't know about wendy's room though...she always keeps her door closed and never lets anyone in her room!

"Yes, lemmy is complaining about something being in his room that wasn't there before, and i wonder if you can help him?" I asked him. This of course, happened a few minutes earlier and it's highly unlike lemmy to be frightened to go in his own room, and he simply wouldn't tell me what is in there.

-Narration-

Max took a moment to use his aura to sense lemmy whose aura was indeed downstairs and his aura was definitely one of being frightened, but that was when he senses something in his room...another aura was there, but one that he couldn't figure out. "What the fuck..." Max mutters, who immediately became weirded out. "You're using that aura ability of yours, correct?" Ludwig asked who noticed that max was weirded out. "Yeah, and uh...there is a strange aura in lemmy's room...i ain't never sensed anything so bizarre before." Max informed ludwig who is now alarmed.

"Is that bad?" Ludwig asked. "Hm..whatever this is, it has no interest in causing any real chaos. We should at least go see what this is." Max says to mike, while ludwig nods and followed him as he walks out of his room and down the nearby stairs, and he immediately saw lemmy standing at the foot of his door looking terrified and he wasn't on his ball either which was a bit of a surprise for max. "Ludwig told me what's going on. Would it be ok if we go in your room and see for ourselves?" Max asked lemmy. "S-sure i don't mind..." Lemmy stammers as he lets max and ludwig in his room while lemmy follows and huddles close to max's left leg.
