Chapter 88: The rematch and bowser's phone call.

-Narration/5 days later.-

Max went outside to show the other koopalings his new weapon, though they were already curious when max yelled out and a odd sounding hum, and iggy knew what it sounded like who freaked out in hysterical laughter when max turned the starlight saber back on, and this time, it wasn't near max's face. The rest of the koopalings were absolutely gobsmacked at what they were looking at and even wondered what would happen if mario were to face max while he wielded it, but whether or not iggy was disappointed that it didn't sound like the lightsaber of darth vader...max couldn't tell due to all of the insane giggling he was doing.

Bowser of course, couldn't help but become worried that max is making a foolish decision to do all of this alone. Sure, he's proud that he chose to do this which is probably what he would have done, but this...this situation was different and the koopa king wasn't going to sit back and watch things happen and not do something about it! The rest of the day went normally, which is something that max cherished knowing that it might be a king time before that'll ever happen again.

As for the next five days? It consisted of mike training max to use his starlight saber and max, while he was very cautious with his blade, became amazed at just how quickly he was learning to the point that it made him wonder...is it possible that he was some sort of swordsman in another life? Or..was it far more complicated than that? He did however, remained silent about who he knew who dark bowser is, and yet..the doubt he had plagued his thoughts, as well as guilt. He wanted to find him. No, he NEEDED to find him even though he didn't even know where to look.

What zöhm said to max at the castle had also troubled him, and the more he thought about it, the more he felt that he needed to find a way to break zöhm's grasp.

During these five days, tyson began training mike, but in a way that was quite different. Training his body to be prepared for his gorochu form while at the same time calming his mind when all around him was chaotic became something that mike wasn't use to. Sure, he was calm during times like that, but this felt different and if this was for his gorochu form, which he had no idea he tapped into. then it must be worth it!

On the fifth day, mike felt the need to actually see what max was capable of using his starlight saber. He knew just what max was capable of with hand to hand combat considering the fact that max kneed his gut harder than anyone has ever hit him before. Such a hit made him feel it for days afterward.

-Max pov-

In just five days, i'm able to wield my saber with ease! I don't know how long one needs to train to use it, but if it's just days, then hot diggity dog, i would be a master swordsman!  "Hey, you ready?" Mike asked me just as i was sitting on the living room couch watching tv. Usually i would be doing that in my room, but i had just got back from mike's place after training with my starlight saber, and this was usually the time he and tyson would be training, but this time was different.

"Ready for what?" Morton asked as he came in while munching on a bag of doritos. "Oh, just for me and mike to have a rematch." Max answers, knowing all too well what will happen. "Didn't you kick his ass though?" Morton asked with a chuckle. "Well yeah, but this time it's with weapons."  Max answers which quickly caught bowser's attention just as he was coming in from the deck. "Oh, that huh? Well, you better not do that in here..." Bowser says with grunt. "Which is why we're gonna do that outside." Max quickly says, knowing how bowser feels about it.

"Good to know." Bowser says with a sigh, before his phone goes ringing. "Hm. You two get to it. Not often i get a phone call." Bowser says to them as he heads to his office. "Who's calling dad?" Morton asked curiously. "No idea...but right now? You uh..you could tell the others what's going down." Max says to morton before turning the tv off and standing up. "Heh..this ought to be good!" Morton knew that this would happen at some point. Max heading to mike's place with that starlight saber of his became quite the indicator and even morton couldn't help but be curious about what would happen!
