The hollow soul

After vacation, Venti made great timing with Dvalin. Though the traveler and Klee didn't leave with you she assured that they'd leave soon on their own.

On your return to Mondstadt though, Dvalin mentioned something, something horrible.

"The abyss order has been seen all of Dragonspine recently, not only am i worried i fear their trying to bring back a long dead evil.."

It was obvious whom he was hinting at but for the time being he requested you stay off Dragonspine for a while longer in case the abyss leaves. But if they don't, investigation won't only be Albedo's job but also Jeans and Kaeya's and possibly the travelers.

"it's been a while since we've been home..it feels so cozy!" you stretched, looking around as barely anything has changed. The lamp grass was healthy and still glowing in the late night, the candles sat on the table awaiting further use, everything was clean probably thanks to Noelle.

"It's late, we should get some sleep before we have to get Klee tomorrow and a few things for me to do.." he set the bag beside the sofa and took his coat off, walking to hang it up. "We're not going to Dragonspine right?" he turned around with a perplexed expression. "No, why?"

"Dvalin..said something odd is going on up there with the abyss and we should avoid going there for a few days or possibly weeks" Albedo clearly didn't have the energy to think about this at the moment, he was hastier then usual to get to bed to be honest.

"Let's just go to bed, please?" you scratched your head and smiled, "You're in a hurry aren't you? let's go then" your voice was soft and quite. He was a little surprised you could tell the difference but then again you've spent plenty of time around him to understand when somethings a little off.

"Are you actually tired or do you just want to cuddle?" Albedo hummed a simple response with no hesitation, no blush whatsoever gracing his pretty face, "Is it wrong to want to do the latter?" his head ever so slightly cocked to the side, questioning you with his gaze. You replied with a small bright but warm smile, opening the door to his room, though to be fair it would soon become a shared room if you shared the bed every night.

You hopped onto the bed and quickly wrapped yourself up in the cozy blankets, you watched Albedo wander over to his dresser and set his hair tie on it. He removed his tights then got in bed, calmly pulling the blankets over himself then laid on his side to face you.

"Hi"

"Hm..hello"

He wore a soft and warm expression as you laughed, "Come here often?" he smiled, softly wrapping his arms around your waist and pulling your closer. Soon slumber ensued, taking you both into the unconscious world.

the moonlight shined through the thin curtains to rest on the two as they slept enveloped in each others embrace, warm, peaceful and safe.

Morning came none too soon.

"ugh..do i really have to go to headquarters too?" you sat up in bed, rubbing your eyes and yawning. "Someone has come for far away to see you, and there's Klee who will be disappointed if you aren't there" he brought his messy bed head out of his face and rubbed his eyes.

"Someone to see me?" he nodded wearily, sluggishly getting out of bed and scratching his cheek. "Mhm..but if you don't want to come with me you can be here, alone, without me if you'd like" he looked at you over his shoulder, though it was difficult to see, the corner of his mouth was uplifted the smallest bit.
