It was late night in Mondstadt, the sun had set hours ago and many of the city residents had laid to rest for the night..however..
"Albeeedo! i want to go home and sleep.." the alchemist stacked some papers neatly on his desk, "Earlier you wanted to help me work" he responded coldly as he got up and wondered to a data spread sheet. He rolled up the paper, pushing it onto a shelf full of other rolls of paper "Well yeah but usually you're never working this late.."
"I work late more often then you think, you're just asleep by the time i arrive home" Albedo responded bitterly while we walked back to his desk and began to write something out. His desk was positioned in a corner with the window to his left, no curtains to block his view of the city below or the stars above.
"What i can't stay up till..what time is it..one in the morning every night like you!" he shrugged, rubbing his eyes a bit. "You may walk home now if you have no desire to stay here" you shook your head "No i don't mean it that way.." you pulled a chair up infront of his desk "Why do you strain yourself every night? I think we should both go home now and sleep.."
The blond seemed to bite the inside of his lip with a sigh, "Well.." you scratched your head before a minor question popped into your head. "You haven't told me when your birthday is! Or..do non-human creations have birthdays..?" he set his pencil down "September 13th, And i am not completely inhuman y'know"
"haha..ha..wait, so tomorrow is your birthday!?" Albedo tilted his head, confused by your obvious shock. "I don't think birthday's are any different from days spent in ordinary ways..but I've never celebrated a birthday with you" his little throw away comment made you smile, "Aw c'mon, don't you celebrate with Klee?"
"Of course, ever since Alice went out traveling Teyvat it's just been me and Klee" you put you finger on your lip. "Hm.." Albedo looked up at you with a knowing look "Don't even think about it, i don't need a big party.." you innocently smiled "Would it be considered a big party if i invited Lumine, Paimon and maybe Ka-"
"No"
"What? Kaeya isn't that bad.." Albedo scoffed "He's annoying" he stated with a blunt and cold voice. "Ah but he's funny most of the time.." you frowned, "Just you, Klee and me will be perfectly fine alright? Last thing i want is that fool ruining the day.." Albedo got up from behind his desk and walked over to you to place a quick kiss on your forehead before placing a signed slip of paper on the shelf.
"Anyways, let's go home now alright? I do feel rather..cuddly" you smiled, holding his hand as he opened the door for you and lead you out of the mostly empty headquarters.

Early morning the next day, you were the first to wake up for a change.
Albedo was beyond exhausted, his body too weary to even hold onto you as you got up. You changed quietly to not wake up the sleeping gentleman, before you left Albedo; who usually slept in a neat and comfortable position but was sprawled out a bit, taking up most of the bed on his own. "Pfft Dork.." you muttered before quietly leaving the room, leaving the house right after.
"Ready~?"
"Yep! So first thing we should get is.."
