" Are you serious?" Melody freaked out..but in a good way.
" Did I sound so dumb?" I sassed.
" He really asked you to be his date to the prom?"
" That's what I said...yeah" I nodded.
" So what did you say?" She asked out of so much curiosity.
" That's the thing...I told him that he'll get a response soon" I said making her jaw drop.
" You should have said yes, Blake...why didn't you?" She asked.
" I really thought Zach was gonna be the one to ask me to be his date to the Christmas prom...I never expected it to be Andrew and besides that he's been acting super weird to me lately" I finally told her which made her sigh.
" Well girl you never know what the future might bring...you've got to say yes, don't let this opportunity bypass you and who knows whether Andrew actually has a crush on you" she said.
" Andrew hates me - but in a good way but still, you know how much I like Zach"
" I just said what I gotta say and I won't force you to make any decisions, it's your decision not mine" she shrugged.
" Thanks Mel" I hugged her and she did the same.
" Hey, how about we go for a little walk around the park to clear your mind out for a while" She suggested and I couldn't help but agree to it.
We both went down the stairs, grabbed our coats from the coat hanger that stood near the front door then excused ourselves from the house, letting the chilly winter breeze hit our faces.
~ Park~
I looked around the park and saw how people enjoyed themselves...well mostly people (especially couples) were taking a walk around the park which was cute.
" ...and done" Melody's voice brought me back to reality.
" Done what?" I scrunched my face in confusion.
" Since we forgot to tell Mom and Dad where we went, I decided to text them so they don't freak out about our whereabouts" she said.
" And what'd they say"
" They said it's fine " she shrugged. "Made any decision yet?"
" Nah, I'm still waiting for Zach to ask me "
" But you know if he eventually asks you, I'd advise you go with Andrew cause he made the first call" she said. And I couldn't help but think that she actually made sense.

" This feels like Christmas" I exhaled as I sipped out of my coffee.
" But this is Christmas season" Imogen chuckled.
" I know, one of my favorite times of the year" I smiled.
" Speaking of Christmas, we're actually supposed to get ready for Christmas...you know buying a Christmas tree, getting presents for the kids and ...."
" ... spending so much time with my wife" I cut in making her give me a look that really shouted out 'really?"
" And kids" she said with literally no emotion.
" You know I was thinking we can't literally spend this Christmas alone" I said then took another sip of the coffee.
" What do you mean, babe?" She asked.
" This year's Christmas, I was wondering if we could invite the rest of the family" I suggested.
" Omg, I was also thinking about that too"
" I guess.. great minds think alike" I winked at her.
" Yeah cause it's been so long since the kids spent so much time with the rest of the family and besides that this is one way of letting Melody meet the family" she cheered.
" That's right, cherry blossom and we can also bake some pies, cakes..."
" Yeah, I get you're a baker, babe" she laughed making me smile.
" What? I used to work in a bakery" I shrugged.
" Sure you do" she chuckled cutely. Man, I love this woman so much.
I dropped my coffee cup, walked over to her and hugged her from behind.
" But you know the greatest gift Christmas has given me?"
" What is it, cheeky monkey?" She asked..
" A beautiful wife that has given me beautiful girls" I whispered to her.
" Aww, babe" she turned around then gave me a kiss that later turned out passionate...all thanks to me.
" Eww...."
We stopped kissing then looked at the door side where we saw the twins making disgusted faces which made us laugh.
" What are the both of you doing?" Harper asked.
" Daddy's kissing mummy so much" Hayden replied.
" That's my way of saying that I love your mom so much" I said.
" Well, you can still hug her" Hayden said
" How about we show you girls how much we love you" Imogen said.
" How?" Harper asked. Then Imogen and I looked at each other then yelled.
" Tickle time"
The twins screamed then ran out of our room whilst Imogen and I chased them around for some tickles.

" Man, this doughnuts are so good" Melody complimented the doughnuts she had just eaten.
" Are you done?" I asked, chuckling and she nodded and we began our walk.
As we kept walking and having a mindless conversation, I noticed that Melody stopped walking and fixated her eyes somewhere.
" Melody?" I said trying to bring her back to reality.
" Blake... whatever you do, don't look back" she said a little bit frightened.
Out of curiosity, I followed her eyes and eventually, I turned around and what I saw made my jaw drop and my motivation crash.
Zach and another girl were kissing right in the middle of the park....
