I couldn't put the Spanish translation in the dialogue because the chapter is already too long, so I suggest you listen to the music and look at the translation on top to get a better vibe and understand what Julian is singing.

Also, Trigger warning ⚠️ this chapter contains a sensitive subject which is s**c!de. Be mindful.

The happiest feeling on a hard-working day was the sound of the bell ringing to end the day. I could finally get away from these students. Being a Salutatorian came with the responsibility of helping others while keeping my overall average grade up. Things were more complex and sophisticated in Trinity Fox. While the academic year in the US had two semesters, here we had trimesters, counting every three months.

The grading system was mainly complicated. The overall average was the only grade that counted. An A was a scale of 80% to 100%, B equaled 70% to 79%, C was 60% to 69%, D, 50% to 59%, while an F was 49% to 0%. It may sound adequate, but it didn't matter if you passed all classes individually or failed one. When you test for a semester, all the examinations for seven classes added up to a general point of 2100. You had to work hard and score an A in each exam and get a minimum of 1400 points, so when your score added up and reduced into a percentage, it should be high as 65% because everything under a C was damaging to your academic year. Failing one trimester might prevent you from transferring to next year, and failing a year would not let you graduate until you retake it.

I looked at the time on my phone screen: 4:37 PM. I waved at my study group one last time before exiting the library. I sighed and plunged my left hand into my jacket's pocket while the other held my laptop against my chest. I crossed the third courtyard to the gate when I saw Frenchie by the window, inside the security room. We hadn't talked a lot after the holidays. He was napping on a chair. I knocked at the glass, startling him. I chuckled while he annoyingly got up to let me in.

"Why you're sleeping at work? Long night?"

"Non mais...Xemina, you need to stop coming when I am taking a nap." He sat grimly.

"Meh, I will think about it."

"So, what's new this week?" I leaned against the wall, referring to the cameras.

This security room was also a surveillance room for the four parking lots. I loved to come in here and watched the students with Frenchie. We were nosy friends. The bigger surveillance room was hidden; no one knew where it was except Julian and the staff. I knew he went there to delete footage. He knew everything about this school because the board was at his feet. I was convinced if he decided to shut it down, he could, in the blink of an eye.

"Oh nothing, it's boring today." He vaguely pointed at the screen.

"Oh, that's a shame." I pouted. "Wait, is that Xavier?" I noticed the skinny blond in one of the eight CCTV screens on the right top.

"Yeah, he has been talking and making out with this dude for half of an hour." He sighed and leaned his head backward to sleep.

"Scoop fucking over." I pushed him on the chair. He almost fell while I sat almost on him. I took out my phone and started filming the screen. "This is going to be good. I am so going to have a field with him tonight." I evilly laughed.

"Who's this guy anyway?" He asked as he tried to straighten himself.

"Oh, that's my best friend, and this dude over here, a homophobic bastard who just discovered his G-spot is on his ass," I explained to him.

"Oh, he coped him. I got it." He laughed. "Such a badass moved, though."

"And you? When are you going to present me your boyfriend?" I asked him while putting down my phone.
