Emily's POV:

I walk in the bullpen exhausted. I'd had been working on buying my new apartment all weekend, finally I got the keys.

"Round table in 10," Hotch calls from his office.

I make a mental note to text him about the apartment, I hadn't already. I make my way into the briefing room.

"Hey!" Garcia exclaims.

"Hey? What's got you all excited?" I give her a grin.

"Oh.. nothing," she beams.

Rossi enters the room, JJ and Reid follow.

"So... how was everyone's weekend?" Garcia says still smiling.

"Well, Spence and I went baby shopping. I can't believe I'll only be here for one more week!" JJ gives a pout.

"Don't worry, I'm sure we'll still bug you," I joke.

"What about you Em? What'd you do?" Garcia asks.

"I spent hours buying my new apartment. I finally got the keys last night actually," I announce.

"Oh Em that's great! Garcia and I can help you furnish it," JJ sprouts the idea.

"Really? I'd love for you to help," I feel my lips curve at the thought.

Morgan walks in next.

"How was your weekend Morgan?" Reid asks.

"I had a very special lady come over," he stares intently at Garcia.

"No. Really?!" JJ catches on.

"Oh yes really!" Morgan smirks.

"How about you Rossi?" Morgan asks as Hotch joins.

"Aaron and I went to a bar. I think he had some fun," he laughs.

"Dave-" Aaron begins, but is cut off.

"He brought home the most beautiful woman," Rossi laughs.

I see Hotch rub his temples, I feel anger corse through my veins. My blood begins to boil. I keep the emotions down, since everyone else was laughing as well. I begin biting my nails, hoping to relax a bit.

"We have work to do. Garcia?" Aaron gives a frown.

He doesn't meet my eyes, but so burn holes into his side.

"Right! We have a killing in Enid, Oklahoma. And not the capital punishment one you are thinking of right now. I'm talking about a woman named Cara Smith, who was murdered in her apartment minutes after the execution of Rodney Garrett," Garcia begins.

"Neighbors saw her front door open and discovered the body," the vile man adds.

I try hard to wipe the fuming rage from my thoughts. I needed to focus on the case, after that, I would have time to bring up the matter.

"Look familiar?" Rossi asks.

"Young, pretty, short blonde hair," JJ sighs.

"And stabbed directly through the heart," Rossi agrees.

"That's exactly the way Garrett killed his victims," Reid states.

"So are we looking at a copy cat?" Derek suggest.

"Or someone creating doubt the right person was executed," JJ counters.

"In Garrett's case there was no doubt, his guilt was the slam dunk of all slam dunks. Prints, DNA, a confession," Rossi informs.
