Emily's POV:

"Peter Lewis. Born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. To call him a math genius would be an understatement," Garcia reports

"Where was he in the foster system?" Aaron asks over the phone.

"He was—gahh! This WiFi hot spot is the worst. He was not in the foster care system. He had two very biological parents and they ran the foster home until it— oh, dear," she pauses.

"Looks like we found Mr. Scratch," Rossi confirms.

"So one of the boys in the house said Peter's dad would dress up as the devil and the other kids would follow suit. So this has to be where all the other victims came before they were adopted and their names were changed," I read over Garcia's shoulder.

"Did Lewis' father serve any time?" Aaron questions.

"Uh, the case was pending, and then he was killed in jail for being a pedophile. Peter's residency is still listed as Florida," Garcia informs.

"Then he broke into the FBI files to find out who went into witness protection. Did any of the kids from the home go into witsec?" Aaron asks.

"That would be a... ye—no. No, none of them," she surprises us.

"Who the hell is he still hunting?" I wonder aloud.

"Garcia, who ran the investigation in Florida?" Aaron asks.

"Uh, hold on. Dr. Susannah Regan, who was responsible for many of the investigations during the day. She was a member of the "believe the children" movement, which encouraged cops to believe anything the kid said about the SRA, and if the kiddos didn't have anything to say, she'd tell the cops to twist their arms until they did. And then her book was published," Garcia is cut off.

"And we came out with the Lanning Report and debunked her," Rossi adds.

"Uh-huh. Her career flopped and she reduced numerous death threats and she went into witness protection," Garcia finishes.

"She's such a high-profile target, Peter had to wait before he could kill her," I announce.

"If he's bold enough to hit Quantico, he knows it's a one-way ticket. This is a suicide mission if he locates her before we do," Rossi warns.

"Which would be in s very nice estate in Columbia, Maryland," Garcia explains.

"I'm closest. Send me the address," Aaron orders.

"Sent," Garcia replies.

He hangs up before I can tell him to wait. I had a bad feeling. One that hurt my stomach. I thought I was gonna be sick. This was wrong. He needed to wait for backup.

*time skip*

"Well call him damn it! What the hell is going on!" I yell at Morgan.

"Calm down, he's probably surveilling the area. We're almost there," Morgan replies in a rush.

"Garcia can you reach him?" I ask.

"He's cell is pinging off the nearest tower. His cell is definitely at that house," she responds confidently.

*time skip*

We walk up towards the house. Morgan and I head towards the back while Reid and Rossi head towards the front.

"Check your front sight. One of ours is in there," Morgan whispers.

We make our way back. A gunshot. I heard it.

"HOTCH!" I hear Rossi scream.

Shit. Shit. Shit!

"We need a medic in here!" I hear over my earpiece.
