Emily's POV:

I stare at my phone for the next thirty minutes, waiting for Aaron to call me back. When my phone finally rings I jump.

"Aaron? Are you ok? What happened? The plane didn't crash did it?" I ask frantically.

"Emily, I'm completely fine. I just had horrible signal. I'm sorry that I'll be home later but I'm on my way now," he apologizes.

"No Aaron, I was trying to tell you I'm in labor," I let out.

"Are you at home? Are you ok? Have you had the baby yet?" This time he spits out the questions.

"No, I was just admitted to the hospital about 2 hours ago. I'm only 4 cm so I still have awhile," I explain.

"Ok, I'll be there soon. Do you want me to tell anyone?" He asks.

"No, I'll tell Garcia. Knowing her she'll call everyone as soon as I tell her," I laugh.

"I'll be there within the next 20 minutes. I love you," I hear the car door open.

"I love you too. Bye," I hang up.

I scroll for Garcia's number, when I find it I call her immediately.

"Helloooo my dark queen, how may I assist," she answers.

"Hey PG, before I tell you, you have to promise not to scream," I try to prepare myself.

"You got it, Honey," she replies.

"I'm in labor, and at the same hospital where JJ had Lily. I'm only 4 cm dilated so I have plenty of time," I say carefully while awaiting a bursting eardrum.

"Oh my goodness! I'm about to be an Aunt again!!! Does anyone else know? I hope I'm the first person you called! You know what, you just rest and I'll call everyone else," she quickly hangs up leaving me to chuckle at her expense.

*time skip*

The door opens and Aaron walks in.

"Thank god," I wrap my arms tightly around him.

"If I had known it would come 2 weeks early, I would have called in sick and stayed home," he gives me a kiss.

"I just can't believe we're having an actual baby. It's real, we're going to have an actual living creature soon," I say in disbelief.

"You've got to stop calling our baby a creature," he laughs.

"Well, I don't know the gender! What else would I call it?" I give him a smile.

Before he can answer, Dr. Green walks in.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't realize we had company. You're Mr. Hotchner right?" She recalls.

"I am," he answers.

"Great, well. I'm going to check again to see if you've become more dilated. Would you like him to step out of the room?" She begins putting on her gloves.

"I was hoping to have him with me during the entirety of my labor actually," I reach for Aaron's hand.

"Alright, then I'll get started," she begins to look while I wait patiently.

"You look about 7 cm dilated now, which is good. That's a very average amount of time so hopefully we can keep that as a timeline," she smiles.

"Ok, thank you," I smile.

"So we've got three hours to kill," Aaron states.

"Possibly longer," I correct.

"I think you should get some sleep," he advises.
