"Pack your bags bitches, we're going on a road trip"

Everyone in the room paused. Sirius glanced at her with an eyebrow raised and Remus was in shock. She was clearly packed for at least a week, and ready to walk out the door.

"You do realise Voldermort is back and we've got to prepare for th-" Sirius started but Emery cut him off.

"Blah blah blah. Ignore Voldie for a second. Harry and the children are safe at Hogwarts and won't be back for a while, if Voldie is doing something, he's probably in the planning stage and we've been cooped up in this house for a very long time" she groaned.

Sirius shook his head in denial. There was no time to go on a road trip. They had to prepare for Voldermort and the death eaters threatening to kill everyone he still had. Before he could come up with something to rebut her argument with Remus started talking.

"You know what, I think that's a splendid idea" He murmured, smiling slightly at the thought.

"Remus!" Sirius shrieked in disbelief. Emery was smiling giddily and shrieked before racing into the kitchen to pack snacks.

"Call Tonks" she shrieked. She had devised the perfect plan to get Tonks out of her auror needs and it had something to do with a family emergency concerning some relatives all the way across the world in the remote part of a forest with absolutely no connection to anyone. So no one would call and ask for her.

"Remus-" Sirius tried but was cut off by the other man.

"Sirius, we'll be back in a week. She's right, there's nothing we can do but sit here and worry about Harry and all the others. It's not good for our health." Remus spoke softly trying to ease the man's worries.

"But-" He tried again.

"Remember when we planned to go on a trip with James. After Christmas we were gonna pack our bags and go around the world" he reminisced.

Sirius was almost instantly bought back to the days they would plan together, the countless adventures they would take part in and things they would see. It was a secure plan, he even had the tickets they had booked that year to go to Australia. He kept it as a memoir of the days where everything was better, where they were allowed to be kids with no plans.

"Fine" he relented before a wide grin split on his face. He bound up the stairs and Remus couldn't help but shake his head at his friend's antics.

Remus remembered the day like the back of his hand. It was Christmas and as a birthday present, James had bought Sirius tickets to Australia. Sirius literally jumped with joy and he couldn't stop planning. When Remus opened his present he found tickets similar to Sirius's. He was shocked, he wasn't planning on going even though he wanted to because his lycanthropy made it incredibly hard to travel. He remembered crying and hugging his friends dearly.

Shaking his head he refused to let his mind ruin the moment and proceeded to call Tonks and tell her the plan, to which he received an excited shriek in response. The 4 of them packed as much as they could to last them a week before heading out to meet at the Leaky Cauldron.

Once Tonks had appeared Emery apparated them to the airport. They all checked in and sat in their seats. Tonks and Emery sat by each other fangirling over a picture of Chris Hemsworth they had found on a cover of a magazine whereas Remus was trying to calm Sirius down and assure him that the aeroplane would not stop them from breathing.

"Oh my, we're really doing this" Tonks breathed out, clearly still not believing it.

"Yes ma'am. No more Voldie, no more Dumbledore, No fretting over..." she trailed off. Her eyes widened in realisation and panic.

"Oh my gosh, Harry!" she moaned. She hadn't told the boy and they were meant to meet at three broomsticks today at lunch.  Before she could put much more thought into it, the plane began to take off and she couldn't help but laugh at Sirius, who was currently screaming like a little girl, while Remus pretended not to know him.

Once the plane had settled down, Emery and Tonks both decided to watch five feet apart, which mind you, was a terrible idea. By the end of the movie, they were bawling their eyes out and mourning the loss of a man they barely knew.

It was at least halfway through the flight before Emery got up to go to the bathroom. Heading inside she pulled out her two-way mirror.

"Harry" she whispered.

Upon hearing his voice being called, Harry looked around and couldn't find anyone. He heard it again before slapping his forehead slightly, forgetting he had the mirror on him. When he brought it out he could see Emery's face in the mirror.

"Why are you calling now. I'm in class" he hissed before his eyes widened. "You can't cancel on me, you told me you were gonna take me to London."

"Heh, that's the funny thing" she stammered, rubbing the back of her neck.

"What did you do" he groaned quietly, trying not to draw attention.

"I'm on a plane to Australia" she whispered.

"YOU'RE ON A WHAT!" he screamed drawing attention from the nearby tables.

"Is there a reason for the interruption Mr Potter?" Professor Snape questioned. "Or do you take great pleasure in interrupting my classes? Do you think you're too good for my class, too smart?" The professor hissed venomously.

"Oi don't talk to him like that!" came Emery's voice from the mirror.

"Hand it over" he ground out before Harry reluctantly placed the mirror in his hand.

"We're talking about this when you get back. You cannot just pack your bags and decide to go to Australia in the morning and do it" he called out after her. "Have fun though?" he said as an afterthought.

"Goodbye," Snape droned, placing the mirror away. Chuckling at the situation she made her way back to see both Remus and Tonks cuddled together in the place she was sitting previously. She internally squealed before taking a photo and storing it.

"Aren't they cute" she questioned, sliding into the seat next to Sirius. He turned his head and observed the pair. He struggled to accept the age difference but could see their love for each other and decided to hell with it.

"mhmm, not as cute as us though" he whispered in her ears. She let out a series of giggles before nodding. They both settled down before Sirius put on the muggle show F.R.I.E.N.D.S. Emery was reluctant to let him watch it after the past cases but decided it was fine and they ended up binging the first 2 seasons before they both dozed off.

The two of them awoke to the sounds of the captain alerting them that they had landed. Grabbing their bags they piled into a car. Emery put all the windows down and blasted the radio as they continued to drive down roads leading them to the seaside.

They stopped a couple of times because Sirius struggled to read the map but they ended up at the right place. The house was absolutely lovely and it was as gorgeous as they could get extraordinarily last minute.

They all decided to hit the bed early that night. Fortunately, there were two beds so they split into boys and girls before Tonks decided she wanted to sleep with Remus. So in the end Sirius and Emery slept together, not that they were complaining.

Everyone hit the bed at roughly 11 o'clock all really tired from the plane ride and the rush that occurred in the morning.

Emery slipped under the covers cuddling close to Sirius, who in turn, wrapped his arms around the girl holding her close. They both slowly fell asleep in each other's embrace looking forward to the coming up days.
