Natsu and Gray had barely shut up since Erza dragged them back into the guild about half an hour before. To everyone's surprise, they were only sitting at the same table, not really arguing or preparing for a fist fight.
Kia sighed, "Will those two ever stop acting like that?"
"Since when did you start asking for miracles?" Amber took a sip from her tea. The Mythics had taken up seats around a table closer to the bar. It had been over a week since Kia and Amber had been rescued and the Phoenix Slayer had only been able to get the final all clear to work from Porlyusica that morning. The three had decided that they would be taking their first mission the following day, even if a certain pair of brothers weren't thrilled with it. Speaking of brothers...
"You've met my brother right? Sometimes you need a miracle."
V grinned, "Or a swift kick in the pants?"
Kia gestured toward the room, "By all means, you have my permission. Just take it outside."
"Alright then." The blonde stood, rolling her shoulders with her signature mischievous grin on her face. She paused from moving to let Mirajane pass her.
"Master," the white-haired mage said. "We've just received a few emergency job requests."
Both Makarov and Laxus looked up. The younger quirked a brow, "More?"
Mira smiled as she handed them over, "Ever since the Grand Magic Games, we've been getting quite a few specific requests for wizards."
"Yeah, I noticed."
"It's kinda like we're all celebrities now." Mira seemed much more enthused with the idea than Laxus did. As they chatted, Master looked over the first of the two in his hands, before flipping to the second.
"Hey there, Natsu and Gray!" the older man waved the papers, "We got another special job request for the two of you."
"Not happening!" Neither one missed a beat in shouting the two words at the same time.
Kia sighed, "Could you two at least try to act your age for two minutes?"
"Sis!" Natsu whined.
"Try to cooperate this time." Erza agreed, "If not for yourselves, then for your guild."
Master looked over the new request, "So, it says... My word!"
"Is something the matter, Gramps?" Natsu took a step forward, but Gray wasn't done with his previous point.
"I ain't working with him, tell 'em I said no."
"But tell 'em I said it first!"
The Ice wizard shoved his hands in his pockets, "Copycat."
"You'll go," Master's eyes hadn't moved from the sheet. His grip on them was tight as a bead of sweat formed on his forehead, "and while you're out there, you'll behave to the best your feeble little minds are able."
Verani stepped up next to her brother, "What's up, Grandpa?"
"The client who's requested you is Warrod Sequen. He's the fourth highest-ranked of the Ten Wizard Saints. This makes him one of the Four Emperors of Ishgar."
A stunned silence rippled over the guild before Lucy asked the question that was on everyone's mind, "If he's a Wizard Saint, then why would he need our help?"
Carla nodded, "It doesn't make sense."
Wendy agreed, "This job must be super dangerous."
"Hmm." Erza hadn't moved, "I should go with you."
