Amber had finally managed to find her footing on her own, but that had been the least of her concerns since they regrouped with the majority of Fairy Tail. Verani had had plenty of time to regain the strength in her legs, but she was still on Bixlow's back. And though it didn't seem that he minded carrying the female Dreyar around, a part of Amber wanted to smack her friend out of her daze. They were still in the middle of a war and there was no telling how long it would be before they would have to run back out into the thick of things, especially with that large source of magical power that she had sensed not that long ago.

It wasn't that she didn't understand that Verani needed to grieve; she just knew that things weren't over. But maybe some of that was coming from the fact that the Blood mage wanted to do something besides just stand around.

A part of her also wondered how Laxus was managing to stay so put together even though he was the one carrying Master. She looked up to see that he was still standing near the center of the group with them, but his attention was turned toward the sky. She had noticed just in time to hear him ask, "What the hell is she doing now?"

Amber followed his line of sight, easily spotting the silhouette on the sky. Though she didn't have his enhanced sense of smell, she knew exactly who was flying over Magnolia with a pair of fiery wings.

She put her fingers against her communication rune, "Kia, what's going on?"

The sudden voice in her head seemed to pull Verani out of her own thoughts as she looked up to see why the Blood mage was calling the Phoenix Slayer. When she saw both Amber and her brother looking to the sky, her gaze naturally followed.

Her heart skipped as she finally slid down to stand on her own feet. "Where are you going?"

"Don't worry about it." The two could almost picture the gentle smile on Kia's face, "Get some rest. You both earned it."

"That doesn't answer my question." Amber wanted to hear her friend tell her that her suspicions were wrong.

Kia's sigh was audible through the link, "I'm going to take care of things."

Verani took a step forward, "Hold on a second, did you already deal with Zeref?"

Even before the Black Wizard's name had been mentioned, Laxus and the rest of the Thunder Legion noticed the way the blonde had stepped forward. It was as if she were about to take off running and they all knew she wasn't in any shape to be running into anything at that moment.

"No. Natsu's fighting him right now."

Amber stepped up next to V, neck still craned to look at the sky, "So you were able to fix the book?"

Above, regret and terror tangoed in Kia's chest. "No..."

Her eyes stung at the thought of what would happen since she had failed to even find that stupid book again. Natsu was stubborn, but his stubbornness wouldn't be enough to overpower the type of magic that linked his life to that book and to Zeref.

"Kia." A new voice sounded in not only her mind, but the other two Mythics as well. The pair on the ground snapped their heads in the direction of the small blonde who had silently come to stand beside them.

The mention of the book had caught the First Master's attention and from her talks with Kia, she had a pretty good idea what the Phoenix Slayer was planning on doing. "I can help you with that. You just need to land."

Kia's heart skipped in her chest. Master Mavis was being cryptic with how she was talking, but that didn't change what those few words mention to her. There was still hope to save Natsu from his fate. She could drop out of the sky now and rewrite the end of his book, but she knew she had run out of time. Acnologia could do far too much damage before she could even find the right parts to change.
