Morning came with it gentle warm glare through the covered windows like any other day. However, today I found myself with my interest in the strange man, who slept on the couch at my best friend's house. Unsure how long I watched over him, I notice hard anything, other than he seemed to be off in a way. I can't describe the urky feeling in my gut, that feeling when you knew that someone wasn't right. Maybe I was paranoid, so many long nights caused me to grow suspicious about things around me. He was some stranger I found off the street, of course, I'll find him strange. I don't know him, but I would rather be safe than sorry.
I cleaned him up, ensured that he wouldn't choke on sickness, and he was bare of clothes. Not my doing. Henry went to the cleaners to get his clothes cleaned. I had clothes prepared for him if he woke up early but I was more worried about being accused of stripping him naked. He had a right to. Waking up somewhere unknown naked. I would be beyond pissed off.
So I'm watching a man. Now he was all cleaned and I could see him better in the light. He wasn't that bad looking. Young, fresh looking and with messy brown hair. Thick brows, Slim lips, and fair skin. His cheeks were rosey from being out in the cold for too long, and his nose was nipped red.
He woke up, slowly after a while of waiting. His gorgeous blue eyes flickered open, instantly glaring at me, studying me from head to toe. I noticed his eyes shifting along my body, meeting eye contact after a few seconds. How deep his eyes seem like an empty glass, like looking through blue-tinted windows or the surface layer of the sea at the beach on a calm sunny day.
"Morning." I smiled, being on my best behaviour. Frightening him off wouldn't be ideal.
"Where are my clothes?" He looked down, realising he was fully stripped. This was awkward than I thought. How else could I have added bandages over his wounds?
"Sorry, but my friend took them to go clean them. Here are some clean ones." I handed him the clothes I had got for him beforehand.
He lifted, letting My cheeks redden by the sight of his bare chest, with the blanket bunched on his waist.
"It rude strip someone naked without their permission, but it's ruder to stare." The man said angrily, in a low tone. Tiredness flood his voice but yet his voice sounded nice. Calming almost.
I turned around and covered my eyes, not peeking or doing anything of the sort. My heart raced slightly out of embarrassment. I waited, listening to him moving about. He grumbled at the sight of me, being embarrassed and pissed off maybe.
Suddenly all the sounds stopped and I felt eyes on me. I turned to see him sitting with one leg into the other leg, in the shape of a four. His delicate blue eyes locked onto mine, watching me with an odd feeling of uneasiness.
"Are you okay?" I asked, forcing back the uncomfortableness. I helped him out, so it would be rude not to tell him, or at least know who I helped.
"I feel better now, thank you ma'am, but I really didn't need your help. Not from you." What was wrong with me? Why not me? He just met me and already being rude. I helped him and I got this. Fucking asshole. I would beat his ass if I wasn't trying to be a good person for the guest. Also, Henry would express disappointment if I made our guest redder than a tomato.
"I would say you did, by how shit you looked. You still look like shit but I guess that is just your face." I snarled, being a good person as in feed him and water him. He started it. His rudeness triggered mine.
"Well, you can't talk when you look like some smacked your face inwards."
I chuckled at that insult.
"Is insulting a woman like that the best you can do?" I raised a brow, wanting to hear my creative insults. I heard all of the typical insults. "Talk to me, when your insults are worth my time," I smirked.
