"Bedtime." Elonzo called out, entering the room. I stared at him.

"No." I said, simply, my stare turning into a glare.

He clenched his jaw and took a deep breath.

"Go to bed, Evelina." He said, sternly. I just crossed my arms and leaned back in my chair.

I opened my mouth, but he silenced me by a simple raise of his hand.
"Don't make me repeat myself."

"Why can't you just go and work?" I grumbled.

"I was working." He defended himself.

"Then don't take time off work to look after me. Try to find Zack." I said, turning back to my laptop.

"And leave you with brothers who you can so easily manipulate and scare? No thank you. Now come on." He said, gathering up my stuff.

I just got up silently.

It's no use anyways. He won't listen.

I walked to my room silently, while Elonzo kept glancing at me every few seconds.

"Goodnight, baby. I promise we will find Zack soon." Elonzo said, placing a kiss on my forehead, after tucking me in.

As soon as he left and I made sure of it, I jumped up from the bed and grabbed my laptop.

My system wasn't crashing like Leo's. It's just not giving anything. It's not able to get anything.

There has to be a problem.

I thought for a moment.

Truck!

I ran a nearby scan to see if there's any devices installed.

Truck Truck Truck.

We wasted so much time.

I called Leo quickly. He didn't pick up. So I called again.

Ugh. Pick up.

It went to voicemail again. So I texted.

I can't go out in case Elonzo finds me.

Leo called right after reading the text.

"Are you sure?" He asked.

"Absolutely. That's why we can't get anything. They've installed Jammers around the mansion, that's why there's no signal and no locations so far. That's what that little poop did when he was here." I said, hurriedly.

"Is that why my system keeps crashing?" He asked.

"I dont know. Mine is working well, except for the obstacles put by the jammers. Yours has some other serious issue." I said, confused.

"Shit. I'll disable them." He said.

"During the three minutes you took to reply to my messages, I already did." I said, rolling my eyes.
