98. A fresh start

Next morning

You wake up and look to your side, seeing Nick peacefully sleeping.
You really didn't know what to do.

You just laid there until Nick woke up.
"Hey Y/n, you up ?" You hear Nick whisper

You turn around facing him.

Nick looks at you and just smiles "good morning, did you sleep well ?" He asks with his deep morning voice

"Yeah" you answer him
Nick just keep looking at you with a smile on his face "what ?" You ask

"Nothing you just look so beautiful in the morning" he says. Without giving him the smile he expected you gave him more of a sad look.

Chris always said that to me

"Did i do something wrong ?" He asked.

"No, not at all" you give him a fake smile.

"Okay. I was wondering for today if you wanted to do anything, you know You and Me like old times" he says "maybe I can take you shopping" he smiles.

"That sounds great" you say.
There was a silence "can I ask you something ?" You say to Nick

"Yeah of course" Nick says sitting up. You notice he was shitless and he had gotten much fitter meaning he now had Abs and big strong biceps.

Damn

"You know my best friend Emma, where is she now ?" You ask him

"Ohh umm I think your parents told me something about her going to France, paris with her boyfriend, uhhh I forgot his name Mike- No it was something else" he try's thinking of the name

"Mark ?"  You ask Nick

"Yeah it's Mark. How did you know ?" He asks

"Just a lucky guess" you say "but do they have any kids ?" You ask him obviously curious about your best friend who has probably forgotten about you.

"No I don't think so" Nick answers. He gets out of bed he only wore his boxers tight boxers. "If you wanna go shopping you better get ready" Nick says with a smile
"I'll make us some breakfast" he put on some pants and goes down stairs

I should probably take a shower

You get out of bed and straight to the bathroom. You get undressed and look in the mirror seeing the scar of the bullet. In your dream it was gone but not in real life.
You take a shower and head down stairs joining Nick in the kitchen.

"Mmm smells great" you say

"I made some bacon and pesto egg" Nick says

God damn he reminds me so much of Chris.

"Mhmm" you get two plates and put food for him and yourself in the plates then sit down. You two start eating.
"Tell me how's everything been the past seven months" you say wanting to know.

"Well I took over my dad's business, so I had been travelling a lot, and now that I think about it I've only been working none stop. But now that your back I'll have a reason to stay at home" he chats.

"That's great, you always wanted to take over the business" you say

"Yeah but I also want to focus on us, I mean you've been gone for so long I don't know how to act around you" he admits

"Yeah I know how you feel, it's just weird getting back to reality" you say to him

"But this is a fresh start for us" he says
