The new marauder

Chapter 11

I'm going to be fifteen in 7 minutes. 15 with no family. Great. I'm not expecting any presents, I never told my friends when my birthday is.

Yay.
I stare up at the sky, the stars staring back at me. I'm laying on the rock where me and Lily were the other night. I think this is my new favourite place.

Halloween was yesterday and who won? Me of course. Their prank was nothing compared to mine. Surprisingly no detention but I think Albus might have had something to do with that.

My candle blows out so I relight it along with a few others. As I said I'm laying on the rock, but I have candles around me to set the perfect birthday scene. 

A birthday alone.

I should stop complaining, there are people worse off than me.

And then it starts to rain.

Yippee.

My candles go out and I throw them into the lake.

Why keep them now?

I'm soaked to the skin but I don't care, I just lay there feeling numb.

"Happy birthday to me,
Happy birthday to me.
Happy birthday to meeeeee,
Happy birthday to me."

I finished my song softly as the sun starts to rise.

I sigh and get up, feeling stiff and I start shuffling back to my dorm.

I get some stares as I clime the stairs, which isn't surprising as I'm still soaking wet but I can't be bothered to dry myself off. muttering the password I clime the stairs to where Lily is already up and using some machine on her hair.

"Hi."

"Why are you soaking wet?"

"It's raining."

"Oh."

I grab my clothes and head In the bathroom. changing into my black skinny jeans and my favourite top: a loose white t shirts with black bold writing saying 'I may be bad but I'm perfectly good at it' from a muggle song I like. And of course my white vans. My hairs is staring to dry all knotty. Yay.

I grab my glasses, eyes aching from days of not wearing them.

"Summer?"

"Yeah?"

"I got you a birthday present."

I look over at her surprised to see her with a small rectangular box wrapped in nice paper and a bow.

"How'd yo-"

"Kelly guessed you wouldn't tell anyone so she told me when it was and what you really wanted."

"But what I really want cost lots of muggle money."

"I'm a muggle born."

"You didn't get me a-"

"An iPhone, yes."

I was gobsmacked. She handed me the parcel and i slowly opened it, not really believing her. But there it was, a shiny and brand new phone. Ive wanted one of these muggle machines for ages.

"Shall I help you set it up?" I nod, lost for words.

After everything was set up I had a phone!! With Lily's number, a thing called snapchat and lots of music. This is so exciting!!! I took my first selfie ( what ever that is. ) with Lily and we looked good!! Now I'm all hyped up.

We head down to breakfast and I see my Phoenix, Carly, sat in my spot with a letter in her beak. I take it and give her some bacon. I smile as I take out my very first birthday card!! A picture of a cat and some cake!! From.... Albus!! I smile at his and decide to go see him later to thank him.

I has more gifts!!!

Turns out Kelly also told the guys and they each got me presents too!! Lily even stuck up with James to see me open them. Which I know was hard for her.

I got a book off Remus about muggle buildings! Off Peter I got an assortments of pranking things, James got me muggle comic books and Sirius got me a collar! We told Lily it was an inside joke and soon after she left.
Thanking them all and taking some pictures on my new phone we went outside to try out my new collar.
Making sure no one was around I shifted and Sirius put it on!!
This is so much fun!!

James POV
I still can't believe She's never had a proper birthday card or present, but I'm glad we made her birthday great. Shes running around like an idiot with Sirius at the moment. I see Remus take the phone thing and take a picture of them.

"Hey Remus?"

"Yeah?"

"Since Summer is already an animagus, she already knows how to become one."

"Obviously."

"So she could help us to change sooner!"

"Y-yeah I suppose."

I look at him.

"Come on Remus, you let Summer do it!!"

"I don't like it!!"

"We'll be fine, let's tell them!!"

He sighs

"Okay."

"SUMMER!!! SIRIUS!! COME HERE!!!"

"Shout why don't you."

They come over and I explain what me and Remus discussed.

I finish and we all look at Summer, who's in deep thought.

Then she nods and we all high five.

"It's not easy," she says finally.

"but I think you're all capable."
