Chapter 1

My eyes widened at the girl passing in front of me...

She looked to her right and stopped as she saw me. Her blue hair flowing through the wind as her eyes widened at my sight... 

"Jinx...?"

She smiled at me and ran off as a man called out to her. I followed them and arrived at a local baker.

"Oh Lady Achlys!"  

Said Lucky, the baker in question.

I stared at the girl behind the counter in shock.

"What can I help you with?"

"Uh... Who's you're new... Employee...?" I asked.

"Oh Jinx! Come here!"

I watched her reacting at her name and running over.

So it really is you...

"I present to you Lady Achlys, The Founder of our city. She's The legend of Zaun... "

She looked at me and smiled, extending her hand towards me. She was lively and energetic.

"Nice to meet you."

My eyes widened widened and my heart sank.

She doesn't ... Remember me...?

I took her hand and shook it.

"It's nice to meet you..." I said looking at her intensely.

She slightly blushed as she made eye contact with me.

"Tell me... Jinx, where do you live?"

"Oh i actually found the poor thing lost and half naked on the streets. She said she woke up in a cave with purple mushrooms."

Purple mushrooms...?

My eyes widened in realization ...

This asshole... He couldn't have...

"I'll take her in." I said cutting off Lucky.

They both looked surprised.

"My Lady... You really don't need to-"

"I wouldn't want to be a bother..." Said Jinx in a shy voice.

My heart skipped a beat at her voice.

"Uh ... No. It's fine, really... I'll take her in Lucky." I said watching Jinx.

Her eyes filled with light as a smile appeared on her face.

"I'll pick her up in an hour." I said sprinting out the door.

"VIKTOR!" I screamed.

"Uh oh..." I heard in the distance.

His head popped out of the corner.

"Oh Achlysssss, how nice to see you-"

"Are you gonna explain why the fuck Jinx's running around in Zaun?!"

"Eh... Ta-da... Happy early birthday ... i guess ...?" He said chuckling awkwardly.

"You better explain before i kick your ass." I said pissed off.

He sighed and finally allowed himself to talk.

"I wanted to bring back Jinx for your birthday... You seem lonely ever since she left us... And i couldn't bare to see you talk to her everyday. So I got in her grave and-"

"YOU DID WHAT-"

Robotic arms suddenly wrapped themselves around me and restricted me from talking.

"I know i know it's seems bad... But let me talk. So I finally made a functional machine who could reconstruct a whole human body. I even added her memory data with pictures and images but the machine malfunctioned when she awakened and she just disappeared."

I removed the robotic arms from me and looked at him.

"Is that why you've been avoiding me?" I asked.

"Eh... Yes. I wanted to find her before you found out but ... You were faster."

She suddenly hugged my metal covered body. I looked down at her in surprise. She then looked up at me with tears.

"Thank you for bringing her back ..." She whispered.

"But ... She doesn't even remember our past life together i failed."

"It doesn't matter... I'm happy to see her again. Thank you."
