Chapter 43 - Aftermath

A/N: Aye, i'm back with another long chapter, everyone. Hope you had a great day. Here's what happened after the Gojo fight.

After the battle at the Swordsmith Village, two of the Upper Moon demons had perished, with them being the Upper Moons Four and Five, Hantengu and Gyokko.

They were both killed by the Love and Mist Pillars with the crucial help of Tanjiro, Nezuko and Genya.

While the kakushi were searching for the injured and deceased, they had found Arifu who was buried under a pile of rubble.

Luckily, he didn't have any life-threatening injuries except some blood loss.

Timeskippu

Arifu opened his eyes and found himself in an unfamiliar room. He scanned his surroundings and determined that he was currently in one of the many patient rooms of the Butterfly Estate.

'I'm... Alive..?' He thought,

Arifu tried to sit up straight but was stopped by an immense pain going throughout his body as he winced.

He slowly lifted his head to get a better view since he could only see the ceiling and an IV stand.

Arifu finally succeeded and was met with a sight that made his heart flutter,

He was not inside a normal patient room, it was way bigger and even had couches inside which were occupied.

Mitsuri was sleeping on his right leg,

Kumi and Bell were also lightly snoring on the couches.

A tear flowed down his cheek without him noticing as he stared at his girlfriends,

'They're... Alive...-' Arifu's thought was cut off as he suddenly heard faint voices outside,

"It's fine, Aoi-chan. I'll rest, let me just check up on Ari-" Shinobu opened the door and widened her eyes before immediately rushing towards Arifu's side,

"ARIFU!" Shinobu shouted and basically woke up everyone in the room,

Shinobu hugged Arifu tightly as everyone else started to stir awake,

"WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU?!!! THEY FOUND YOU UNCONSCIOUS AND-" Shinobu stopped because she realised that Arifu wasn't saying anything.

She felt two arms around her neck and muffled sobs on her shoulder,

Shinobu looked down to see Arifu crying into her shoulder as he hugged her tightly,

"I-I thought... I t-thought you were dead.." Arifu sobbed repeatedly into her shoulder.

Without saying anything, Shinobu wrapped her arms around Arifu's head and deepened the embrace,

"There, there... I'm right here... Let it all out..." Shinobu caressed Arifu's head as they continued to embrace one another.

"Thank Kami-sama...(God)" Arifu muttered,
