KIRA POV

"Come on," I breathed out harshly, "get up Jace! Get up!"

"What's wrong?" Esme ran over, "what happened?"

"I- I don't know," I cried, "the witch I just killed, she-she threw him into the wall and now he won't wake up. Jace! Wake up!" I put my hands over his chest and started to heal him. I watched his body light up and I couldn't help but cry. I couldn't hear him breathing, he wasn't.

"Justin watch out!" Esme yelled out. I looked around to watch her block him from Sirus. Justin lunged forward, grabbing his head and completely just.. shredding him. "Oh my god," she started to cry out of relief, "oh my god we did it."

"Jace please wake up," I whimpered, "come on, please wake up." I continued to heal him and finally when Justin got closer to us, his eyes shot open. I laughed a single time anxiously and wrapped my arms around him tightly.

"Wh-what happened?" he asked as he put his hand on my back, "what happened?"

"I thought you died," I cried, "oh my god you're okay." I ran my fingers through his hair and pulled back to look at him. I pressed my lips to his and then leaned my forehead against his.

"Are you okay?" Esme asked Justin.

"Yeah," he nodded, "yeah I'm alright. Tired, but I'm okay. Are you guys all okay? I didn't think we were gonna beat them for a second."

"Oh I know I turned and looked at him, "I don't know how they had so much power. They must have had ancestors on their side or something... they had to of." Justin and Esme both sat down.

"You think Kai got home okay?" Jace asked.

"Yes," I nodded, "I'm sure they got home. We should do the same, the kids are waiting for us."

"You're right," Esme stood and helped Justin up. I helped Jace stand and the four of us walked out of the building and down the hall. We made our way outside and saw that it was now dark outside. Jace's body was bruised, his face and neck and arms... even his hands had bruises on them. I felt horrible, he took the majority of the beating, I'm honestly shocked that he's okay right now.

When we made it home, Esme and Justin headed to their house, me and Jace walked in ours.

"Mom?" Lilly walked from her room, "oh good you guys are okay!" She ran downstairs and wrapped her arms around me and Jace.

"Where's your brother?" I asked.

"Probably sleeping," she rolled her eyes and shook her head, "uncle Kai and uncle Rowan are upstairs, Aelia went out for a run."

"Is Rowan okay?" Jace asked.

"Yeah," I nodded, "yeah he's okay. I uhm- I healed him."

"What?" I asked, "what do you mean?"

"Aelia couldn't," she shook her head, "Kai couldn't. But I did. I was standing there and there was this voice in the back of my head just repeating the same phrase: Daemon, sana vulnus, abscide eum. There was this black smoke that came out of his mouth... and then he went to sleep. He'll probably be asleep till tomorrow."

What spell is that? A demon resistance spell? I've never heard of it.

"Where did you find this spell?" I asked, "where did you see it?"

"I haven't," she sighed, "it just popped into my head. Aelia thinks it's my 'power', like how Cade can read lies... I know the spells to survive type of thing."

"Dad?" Fen asked running from his room, "what the hell happened? Are you okay? Mom?"

"Yeah buddy," he nodded, "I'm alright, I'm okay."

"I'm okay," I smiled.

"What happened?" he asked again while looking at both of us.

Me and Jace looked at each other for a few minutes. "When you guys were little we were taken by a coven," I explained, "just us adults, but the leaders name was Sirus. He had a brother and they were strong-

"How'd they find you?" he asked.

"When Esme was still pregnant with Cade I met a witch in the hospital, her name was Miranda, Minnie for short. None of us realized it but she was just coaxing us, they wanted to sacrifice you guys. There's more to it but that's for another time. Anyways, Sirus was the leader of her coven and when they took us they had the ability of mind control basically. They made us fight each other and it was horrible. We managed to kill them but the witches that had ran off we decided to just let them live, I didn't want to kill anyone else. Somehow one of the witches that tormented Kai and Rowan before, her name was May and she was also killed that day, resurrected. Her, Sirus, Shaw and the other witches we did kill, came back and they were out for revenge-"

"What revenge?" Lilly asked.

"How'd she resurrect?" Fen wondered.

"Rowan almost died once because of them," Jace jumped in to explain, "when we saved him it made them want it that much more. So when they took them, they planned to kill Rowan and then they were going to kill Kai. We got there right before they were going to kill him this time and we just started to fight as soon as we got there. I told Kai to bring Rowan back here."

"We don't know how she resurrected," I shook my head, "we don't know that yet, I'm still trying to figure it out. It wasn't a simple spell, it won't ever be but for the powerful witches it is easier than others. Anyways, the only resurrection spell I know of can bring back one person at a time."

"So what if they did it multiple times?" Lilly asked.

"Because doing it once is painful enough," I explained, "it takes life from you and gives it to the other person in hope it brings them back."

"If they have multiple witches can all of them like, donate?" Fen asked.

I stopped to think, "well yes, I guess so. That would make sense wouldn't it?" I turned and looked at Jace, "but we killed a majority of them, over half. How would they-"

"Ancestors?" Jace asked.

"Has to be," I stared at him, "it has to be. I have to talk to Tabitha." I spun around to head for the door again but he grabbed my arm.

"Wait," he whispered, "we just got home. Lets just... relax."

"You're right," I smiled as I walked back to him, "you're right, come on."

"Are you hungry?" Fen questioned.

"N-" I went to talk but Jace cut me off.

"Yes," he blurted out, "I'm starving."

"I'll make you guys something," he said.

"Me too!" Lilly chimed in.

"It's okay guys," I tried to shrug it off, "you don't have to-"

"Let them," Jace whispered in my ear, "then we don't have to." I couldn't help but smile because again, right. We walked to the bedroom and the two of us walked to the shower, turning it on and stripping our clothes off.
