THE WESTBROOK HOCKEY ACADEMY opened its doors for yet another year in 1997 to young athletes who wanted to train diligently in able to pursue the sport professionally someday. Though it was unlikely any of the teenagers at the school would qualify later on, there was still a possibility. And Philip Banks knew that his son, Adam, would be capable of doing that.
       What the elder man didn't expect was there to be some distractions. He didn't expect that his son would fall for a girl there, let alone give up his only chance of connection to the national hockey team for her.
