Little Ariel was growing fast. She was the sweetest little girl you'd ever want to meet. She had everyone in Atlantis and Olympus wrapped around her finger. She looked so much like her mother. The red hair, blue eyes, sweet smile, and friendly personality.
It has been hard raising Ariel without Amphitrite. I make sure to tell Ariel all the time about her mother and make sure Ariel knew that her mother loved her.
Over the next five years Ariel already looks 12 years old. She has started training her powers now that they are getting stronger to adapt to her body maturing. She is determined to make everyone proud for saving her. She knows a little bit about her story but not all of it yet. I wanted her to be a little holder to fully understand what happened. Today is her birthday and once I give her, her gift, I will ask her if she is ready to know the full story about her mother.
"Ocean can you come here please?" I call for her. I started calling her Ocean when she physically looked five years old and loved it. Ever since then everyone else calls her Ariel but sometimes Ocean.
"Hi daddy." She says running to where I am giving me a big hug.
"Happy Birthday princess! I have a surprise for her." I tell her. She starts to squeal and follows me to where her gift is. When we get to our destination, standing there is a baby Pegasus.
She screams jumping into my arms kissing my cheek saying thank you repeatedly. "Okay Ocean, before you do anything we need to talk about a name, and what he will be able to do when he is older." I tell her. "Alright first line of business, what do you want to name him?" I ask.
She stands there thinking and suddenly blurts out Atlas. Surprisingly enough, he actually picks his head up for response. Huh, he must like the name.
"Alright, now on to what he will be able to do. Daddy made him special just for you and your abilities. He will have three forms alright? He will have the regular Pegasus form, then he can also have a water and fire form to help when you use your powers or you are here in Atlantis with me." I tell her.
"Wow thank you daddy, this is amazing." She says hugging me.
"I would do anything and give anything for you my dear ocean."
After spending a lot of the day playing with her and atlas, we finally come in for the evening and I think it is time I tell her everything. "Ocean, sweetie I need to ask you something and I need you to be honest with me okay?" I ask. She nods her head waiting for me to continue on. "Do you want to hear the full story of what happened with you mother and why you are growing so fast than any average child in Olympus or Atlantis?" I ask.
"Yeah actually, I think do now. If that is okay?" She says.
"Of course it is sweetie."
"When your mother and I first met I knew she was my soulmate. We gods or goddess will have a tattoo representing our soulmate, and their initials. For your mother, I had her initials and my tattoo was/is a sea turtle. That was her all time favorite animal. Anyways, after meeting her, I also met her older sister Renee which is your Aunt. She is only a year older than your mother. When your mother and I started seeing each other, Renee grew jealous of our relationship saying that it should have been her since she was the oldest. But all she wanted was my title and powers that come along being with me. When your mother moved out and married me, she became a Demi-goddess and ruled beside me. After a few years of being married, we soon found out we were expecting you. We were so happy and overjoyed to be having a family. Your mother decided to start visiting your aunt again because she wanted her sister to be a part of your life. So one day your mom went to visit Renee and within a couple days, your mother came her with poison in her because Renee spiked her drink to try to kill you and her. When you were born, you had the poison in you too. We noticed how the animals took a liking to you and were very protective over you. You were so fragile, and weak from the poison, we did not think you were going to make it. Sadly your mother did not make it because the poison had spread so fast and there was so much in her. That is how she passed away. Your aunts jealously, caused her to poison your mother and kill her. Luckily, we were able to save you by making you a full goddess and going ahead and giving you your title and powers. Typically one does not receive those until the age of 16 or 17, but the gods and goddesses decided to do it then so you could have a life. Each power or skill you have is a piece from your aunts and uncle here from Olympus. Having your title so early is also why you are growing faster and should be fully grown in 2 years. I have been trying my best to give you the best childhood you can have, and trying to be the best single parent as well. You are my little princess ocean, I cant lose you." I Finish with tears in my eyes.
"Daddy" she says with a sniffle, "I love you so much, you have given me everything and did not give up on me when you could have. I hope you know I dont blame any of this on you. It is not your fault momma died, it is Renee's. And if I ever see that woman I will give her a piece of my mind." She says making me chuckle.
"You are the best father anyone could ask for." She hugs me tightly snuggling her head into my neck as I hold her close.
