Chapter 40

Sam was actually out on patrol when Bella called about her birthday party. I just wanted to be petty and rub it in her face that I have a sex life and she doesn't.

Over the next couple of days I didn't hear from Bella which was good. As the boys were eating dinner, Billy called to tell them Bella was missing and asked to help find her. According to Harry, the Cullen's left town suddenly.

Billy asked me to drive over to Charlie's to wait with him so that's what I'm doing. I finished eating, got everything cleaned up and made my way to my vehicle. Once I got in it, I buckled up and headed over to Charlie's for Billy's sake.

As I am driving I have some music playing just trying to stay relaxed since our girl is due in less than a month. As I drive around a turn I feel and hear my tire bust. Oh great that's all I need right now. I pull over and out the car in park. I unbuckle my seat belt and go around the car and check out the tire and see if anything is still stuck in in.

Before I had a chance to do anything I was pinned again my car roughly by Edward.

"You fucking bitch. If you would've come to the damn party we wouldn't have to leave right now. This is all your fault. You just had to keep your powers and abilities to yourself huh. Well fuck, I hope this causes you pain so you know how I'm feeling about leaving Bella." He says.

He leans back and punches my in the face twice and slams my head again the car. Before I black out I do the only thing I can.

"ATLAS" I yell and fall into unconsciousness.

I had to leave dinner quickly to go help find Bella. Billy asked Ariel to come over and be with him while we looked for her.
After 35 minutes we found her.

When I get out to Charlie's house carrying Bella I notice Ariel isn't here. I look over and Billy

"where's Ariel?" I asked. He looked at me concerned.

"I don't know she never showed up and should have been here by now. Or at least 20 minutes ago." He says.

"Maybe she's still at the house or something." I say trying not to worry.

The boys and I shift and we head to the house. When we get there Ariel isn't here. I start to panic and suddenly hear commotion going out in the barn. I quickly run out there and see Atlas going insane. I've never seen him like this before.

He's rearing up, kicking the stall door, throwing his head around and more. "Atlas hey buddy. Is something wrong with Ariel?" I asked.

I'd connect minds with him but I haven't had time to work on my powers yet.

Atlas starts nodding his head like crazy and kicking the stall door again.

"Okay buddy I will let you out and lead the way." I say and open the door.

As he comes out he motions his head towards his back signaling me to get on. I see Jared and Paul already in wolf form and Hercules running in to get Pegasus.

We all take off and Atlas is speeding through these woods. After a few minutes we get to the side of the road and I see Ariel's car. I start to panic when she's not in it.

I jump down and run to the other side and see her laying on the ground with blood coming out of her head and nose. I also smell fucking leech on her.

"Hercules we need to do something fast." I say.

"You have to take her to Atlantis. Only the healers can help her since the world doesn't know about us. Atlas can take you he knows the way. Get on him and I'll lift her to you." He says to me.

Surprisingly, Atlas lays down making it easier on us. After I get adjusted and Hercules hands her to me, he balances us while Atlas stays up.

"Hold on tight when he gets to the water he's speed will become faster." He says. I nod my head at him.

"Let's go Atlas." I say.

I hold onto her tightly as Atlas is sprinting to the beach, as we approach I fear the sand will slow us down but it doesn't phase him at all. His stride is still long and powerful.

He begins running into the water changing forms to his water Pegasus. Hercules was right he is faster like this.

Atlas doesn't slow down and runs straight into the palace and right to the thrown room. As we bust in we see the court, the guards, and Amphitrite and Poseidon. All talking seizes and they run over to us.

"She needs a healer now." I say growling as my wolf has mad an appearance.

We quickly take her to the healing wing and the ladies get to work. I start pacing back and forth worried for her. I'm trying not to wolf out right now but knowing a leech dare touched my wife. My imprint. That makes me what to murder people.

As I am pacing Poseidon comes up to me.

"Son what happened." He asked.

I looked at him and almost broke but I had to be strong.

"Billy called us informing us the Cullen's had left town. He told us Charlie called him saying Bella was no where to be found but all of her stuff and truck was there. We offered to help and Billy asked for Ariel to come and sit with him while we looked for her. After we split ways, we finally found Bella. When I made it to drop her off Billy was there but Ariel wasn't. I thought maybe she was at the house. So when I went home we looked everywhere and she wasn't there. All of a sudden Atlas is going bat shit crazy in the barn so I knew something was up. I let him out and jumped on his back and took us to where Ariel was.
Her car had a flat tire and she had been attacked by a leech. I smelt them on her. She was punched in the face and hit in the head pretty hard but I don't know what else is going on." I tell him.

He pulls me into a comforting fatherly hug. "It's going to be okay. She will be fine and so is that little girl of yours." He tells me assuringly.
After 5 more minutes the healers come out.

"So she has a concussion, 3 broken ribs and a bruised back, eye socket, and cheek bone. We have her on healing sedatives to speed the process up for her. She will be just fine and the baby is completely fine and stable as well." Dina says.

I finally let out a sigh of relieve and a small sob. I got into the healing room and see my wife laying there on the table. Her face is still bloody and so is her hair so I find a bucket and some rags and shampoo and clean her up the best I can without waking her or hurting her more.

When I finished, I put everything away and came back and sat next to her holding her hand. After and hour she starts waking up.

"Hey baby I'm right here." I say to her.

"Sammy."

"Yeah baby. It's me. You had me worried there for a second." I say stroking her cheek.

"It was Edward who did this." She says.

I instantly start growling. This fucker is dead if he ever returns.
