Time skip 2 years I have now reached my full growth and will remain this way forever. I hated that dad and I did not get to have the normal childhood everyone else gets to have. But I guess that happens when you have a psychotic aunt who thinks she is entitled to everything. Ever since dad has told me the truth, I have felt a fire burn in me of anger towards Renee. I do not even consider her family after what she did.
Anyways, aside from family drama, yesterday I have reached age 20 physically and my powers are strong and in full swing. Atlas is fully grown as well. Since the day I got him from dad, I have been training him. He listens very well to ever command I give him, he protects me, can switch forms in an instant and is my best friend. I can always talk to him and never worry about judgement like I would from others unless you are my cousin Hercules or Mera. Everyone else was weirded out or upset with me because I got my title early. But it wasn't my fault. I didn't ask for an early title, it was given to save my life but whatever.
Mera and I met when dad introduced me to more of his family that were Nereids. Which were basically mermaids and can switch forms to tail or legs. Mera and I had a lot of fun together. After I had gotten used to my magic I was able to transform my legs to be a mermaid as well. Mera and I would spend hours swimming together and exploring looking for items sailors had lost from their boats. Sadly she had to leave with the others who were going on a mission to help a group of sailors across the sea so I lost one of my best friends.
Shortly after Mera left, dad took my to Olympus to visit the family on day and that is when I met Hercules. At first I was weirded out by him. I was kind of quiet and reserved where he was more energized/hyper. However, we soon clicked and became close. He was the only one that did not treat me different among the others our age. Hercules and I even started training together. He was a little bit stronger than me but not much so it was a pretty evened out match. Him and I were always found together whenever our dads needed us or wanted us home.
Hercules ended up having a Pegasus as well but he was named Pegasus. So original but leave it to my cousin to be that way. Anyways, we started going out on rides together. Of an evening it was the perfect time to ride. The clouds were a perfect hue of pinks, oranges, and sometimes purple. It made riding through the clouds breathtaking and relaxing. Whenever I have a rough time, I either ride in the clouds, or take Atlas through the sea.
One day Hercules and I had the day off from training so we decided to mess around and pull some pranks. And well that did not end well. We put hair dye in uncle Zeus's shampoo for his beard, I took dad trident and colored it hot pink, and put a view smaller pranks around the rest of Olympus. By the time everyone found out what had happened and who did it, Hercules and I gained the title Double Trouble.
If one was in trouble it was almost guaranteed the other was in trouble as well. But having each other made it easy to forget I did not have much of a childhood because I was able to do those childhood things now and with my partner in crime.
Time skip, two months
After I had all my skills and powers under control, dad started to take me to earth with him. He took me to this place called La Push. I guess there were vampires and shapeshifters that lived on earth. Dad always told me to watch out for vampires and to always kill them. However, he did tell me about his friend billy and how there is a treaty made from his father about a family of vampires called the Cullen's. Whatever the name I didn't care. I simply did not like vampires due to that fact they hurt people just to survive, and these Cullen vampires feed off animals and it crushed me. As the goddess of animals it broke my heart knowing my babies were being harmed.
Dad took me to La Push to meet his best friend Billy. Dad had told him about me and what happened to my mother. So he wanted to meet me. So that is what we are doing right now.
"Well old friend its good to see you above the water again." Billy says to dad then looks at me. "Wow, you must be Ariel, Poseidon was right you do look like Ami."
He tells me with a sad smile. I give him on in return. " hi it is nice to meet you billy. Dad talks about you a lot and your shapeshifting abilities. I think that is awesome. I wanted to tell you with being the Goddess of animals, shapeshifters are considered in my area of protection and control. So I promise to always protect you and future shifters if need be." I say sweetly.
"Well my dear, that is very kind of you. Right now the Cullen's have moved on and haven't been back for years. So there aren't many shifters. Can I ask a question about your title?" He asks cautiously.
"Of course, that's why I am here, to meet you, answer any questions, and meet dads extended family pretty much." I say.
"Can you communicate with all animals?" He asks.
"Yes. I can. If the animal feels safe. Sometimes they do not know who I am until I wait for them to feel comfortable and allow me into their mind." I say
"That is amazing, are you able to control them? Like commands and stuff like that?" He asks.
"I can if I have to. But when I am with my animals I love to ask them for things instead of commanding them. The only time I would command is if they are in danger, or about to get dangerous. I will try and help calm their emotions down or help them understand them. With the sea animals, I love to swim around with them in their herds or schools. I try to make them feel like I see them and acknowledge who they are. To have a relationship with them. When I visit earth I try and do the same. I go into open fields and areas and sit. Eventually they come to me and I spend time with them. I never like commanding, I want the animals to feel like they have a say in their lives."
"If you do not mind, if there is ever a time when shifters come around again, would you be willing to help them with their shifts and emotions?" He asks.
"Yes of course I would!" I say. "You know all you have to do is say Ariel Ocean and I will be here."
"I look forward to it sweetheart. It was very nice to meet you, and dear again I am sorry about everything that woman did to you." He says giving me a hug.
" thank you so much. I hope to see you soon."
"If your father allows it, please visit anytime you want." He says and i nod my head and start to walk out with dad headed home.
