Time skip 2 weeks
It has been a couple weeks since Jacob stormed out of the movie theater. I have cried calling and texting him but he never responds. I even called Billy for answers and I keep getting he is sick or isn't home right now.
Today I decide to go and confront him. I get in my truck and head over. It's pouring the rain down and I see Jacob shirtless with short hair.
"Jake! You cut your hair? And got a tattoo?" I ask.
He looks over at me kind of annoyed. "Bella"
"I thought you were too sick to come outside, or pick up the phone when I'd call." I say in a pouty voice hoping he falls into wanting me.
"Go away." He says flatly.
"What?" I ask in disbelief.
"Go away. Bella. I do not want you here. And you are not welcome here" he says.
"What happened to you? What's wrong? Hey, what happened? Did Sam and Ariel get to you? Is that what's happening?" I asked getting pissed thinking Ariel is taking Jacob from me. He is mine.
"Sam and Ariel are trying to help me, don't blame them. But if you want somebody to blame, How about those filthy bloodsuckers, you love? The Cullens." He says.
Fuck how does he know about that. I gotta lie because no one is suppose to know. I bet fucking Ariel told them. Maybe since she is telling people I can get her killed for exposing humans to the supernatural world. Then I can get her power. But right now I gotta lie my way out of this.
"I don't know what are you talking about Jacob." I say
"You know exactly what I'm talking about. You been lying to everyone. Charlie. But you can't lie to me. Not anymore, Bella." Jacob says.
"Come on! Jacob! Don't do this to us. I know I have been shitty towards you lately and all but we are best friends. Right? I thought there was something here." I say.
"Look, Bella. We can't be friends anymore. I never really wanted to be close to you to begin with. I was just nice to you because Charlie and my dad are friends. But there is nothing here between us. There never has been. So why don't you go back sulking over your precious blood suckers. Oh wait. You can't because they are not here and didn't want you." He says to me.
That breaks my heart hearing he wants nothing to do with me. I look at him and then hear Sam call for him. He turns around without saying goodbye and just walks away. What the fuck?!
I get in my truck and drive home. When I get there, I see Charlie inside and he looks over at me.
"How did it go?" He asks.
"Not good. Ariel and Sam have their hands on him and he wants nothing to do with me." I say.
"He will come around Bella. Just give him some time." Charlie says.
I just nod my head. The next day I decide to go on a hike. I needed to get out of the house. I kept thinking about Edward and Jake and wanting them both. But I don't think that will ever happen.
I decide to go to where mine and Edward's meadow is. When I get there everything is dead. What 's happened here? I keep looking around and suddenly something is in across the meadow from me.
"Bella."
"Laurent." I respond. Why is he here?
"I didn't expect to find you here. I came to visit the Cullens, but the house was empty. I'm surprised they left you behind, aren't you some sort of a pet of theirs?" He asks
"Yeah, you could say that." I say back.
"Do the Cullens visit often?" He asks.
Out of no where again an illusion of Edward pops up. "Lie."
"Yeah, absolutely, all the time." I say.
"Lie better." Edward's illusion says.
"I'll tell them you stopped by. I probably shouldn't tell Edward. Cause he's pretty protective." I say.
"But he's far away, isn't he?" Laurent asks. Fuck.
"Why are you here?" I ask.
"I came as a favor to Victoria."
"Victoria?" I say
"She asked me to see if you're still under the protection of the Cullens. Victoria feels it's only fair to kill Edward's mate, given he killed hers. An eye for an eye..." he says.
Edward's illusion appears again. "Threaten him."
"Edward would know who did it, and he'd come after you" I say confidently.
"I don't think he will. After all, how much could you mean to him, if he left you here, unprotected?... Victoria won't be happy about my killing you. But I can't help myself. You are so mouth-watering"
"Please don't. I mean, you helped us!" I say
"Don't be afraid, I'm doing you a kindness. Victoria plans on killing you slowly, painfully, whereas I'll make it quick. I promise, you will feel nothing." He says.
"Edward, I love you."
"I don't believe it!" Laurent says.
All of a sudden I hear a branch break and a giant black wolf appears. He is ginormous. What the hell is all of this shit in Forks.
I look and see Laurent take off and more wolves appear chasing after him. I quickly run out of the forest and get back home. When I get inside I see dad and Harry.
"Dad, uhh those attacks people have been talking about, they aren't from a bear. They are from wolves. I just saw them on my hike." I say.
"Bella I told you to stay out of the woods and I can't really do much right now since I lost my job. I am trying to get back on under probation but it is not final yet. However I can probably get a group of people together to go hunting." Charlie says.
"Yeah I just thought I would let you know."
That night I went to bed dreaming about all the supernatural that has been happening around me. When I wake up after my dream, I grab the book I bought last year in Port Angeles and started reading more.
