"EMBRY!" We all shouted.
He was instantly taken to the ground and bleeding down his left side. I saw Jacob stand back and look at Embry and imprint. He started whimpering trying to move closer but Jared and Paul phased and blocked Embry from him.
I quickly summoned my dad and mom. When they got there, they saw how bad Embry was.
"Get him inside, I will go get one of the healers back home." Dad ordered.
Sam helped pick up Embry and carry him inside. Sam looked back at me and nodded his head for me to go take care of Jacob.
"Jared, Paul go phase back and wait inside with Embry. Do whatever Sam asks of you." I tell them firmly. They turn to go phase. On the way back from the woods, Paul gets in his truck and pulls out an extra pair of shorts for when Jacob phases back.
"Jacob phase back now" I command. He whimpers bowing his head and works on phasing back. Once he does I toss him the shorts and wait.
"I-is..is he..is he gonna be okay?" He asks with his voice cracking.
"He will be. My father should be back with a healer but right now you are staying out here. You are not going to hurt that boy anymore than you already have. While they are helping him I will explain everything to you. Yes the tribe legends are true. We were planning on telling you tomorrow but you shifted before we could clearly. The Cullens are the cold ones or vampires. We have a treaty with them. They cannot bite a human or change them. Aside from the legends, I am a goddess. My father is king of the sea and king of Atlantas. Does this all make some sort of sense now?" I asked.
"Umm yeah kinda. What was it that happened when I looked at him? I saw flash of pictures of us and the future" he says.
"That is what wolves call imprinting. They are the thing that holds you in place, keeps you grounded. You will be anything they need you to be. A friend, sibling, lover, anything." I tell him.
"Di-did...did he imprint on me too?" Jacob asked me.
"Yes. He wanted to tell you and let him when he is ready. There is a lot of things that need to be explained. However, right now I have a couple things to ask you." I say to him.
He just nods his head at me.
"Question 1, why have you been so mean to Embry? And Question 2, why are you hanging around Bella?" I ask in a demand.
"Charlie pushed Bella to get out of the house and hang out with me. It started off a simple friendly gesture since our dads are friends, however, she started becoming obsessive and annoying. She won't go away or leave me alone so I just follow along so she will stop bitching. I cannot stand her. And for your other question, I didn't mean anything of it. He has been my everything for as long as I can remember. So when he just stopped talking to us, not coming to school, and then hanging with you all, I thought he was doing bad stuff and I lashed out thinking he left me for you all. Now seeing the real reason, I feel like an ass for how I treated him. He will probably never forgive me, especially since I hurt him as a little." He says letting the tears roll.
"Wait, you know about his head-space?" I asked.
"Yes, he never told me though. I figured it out and have casually been his caregiver. But I have done it in ways where he doesn't think much of it." He says.
"I understand. So, now my next question. What are you going to do if Bella tries forcing her way into this? She already knows about the Cullens by claiming she is Edwards mate, but she is not. She already knows about my kind thanks to her cunt of a mother. Jacob she cannot find out about these legends." I tell him.
"Ariel, I don't want to be around her okay? She is a fucking bitch and thinks she is entitled to everything. I will not betray my people, pack, or tribe Ariel" he tells me.
I look at him and see that he is not lying. Before I respond Sam comes out to us.
"The healer is taking care of him, he should be fine and might have some scars. Has Ariel explained everything to you?" Sam asks.
"Yeah I believe so." Jacob responds.
"Well there is one more piece to all of this. Ariel and I are a goddess and demi-god. My rule is like hers. However, you by blood are entitled to the Alpha title of the pack. Do you want that title?" Sam asks him.
"No. I don't want that responsibility. You both seem to be doing a good job and begin so young I would rather have some freedoms." Jacob says immediately.
"That is fine. Hercules and I will be taking you out tonight to show you how we run patrol and then tomorrow the boys will start training you in fight as a wolf." Sam tells him.
"Okay that is fine." Jacob says.
"Alright boys, well I am going to go inside and check on Melody and get some snacks and stuff ready for you all because you are all probably hungry." I say walking back inside.
As I go inside, I walk upstairs and go to Melody's room. She is sound asleep and looking so precious. I kiss the top of her head and make my way to the guest bedroom where Embry is.
"How is he?" I ask Katie the healer.
"He will be fine. I used the same medicine on him that was used for you so he may scar. We are not sure." Katie says.
"Will you be staying for a while?" I asked.
"No princess. I will be going back tonight. Everything from here on out is simple steps of taking care of him that I will not be needed." She says.
"Alright well thank you so much for coming up such short notice" I say to her with a smile and head down stairs.
I make some snacks and lay them out for the boys. I start getting tired, so I make my way up, shower then go to bed after this crazy night.
