I decided to give Billy a couple days off from being a parent. He and charlie were going on a fishing trip so I offered to take the kids. The girls were so excited to be hanging out with me. Hercules was off doing something else with Jacob for the night.
I set up blanket fort in the living room. I got the girls and I matching pink pj's, robes, small face masks, nail polish, and lots of snacks for movie night!
We were having a blast. Rachel and Rebecca convinced me to let them do my make up. I ended up looking like a clown but it's fine. The girls were laughing enjoying their make overs. I ordered pizza for dinner. While we were waiting for the food we cleaned up all the make up off the floor and our faces.
Once we got the food, I set everything out on the dining room table for us to grab throughout the evening. We turned on some movies for us to have a movie marathon.
Hercules and Jacob ended up joining us at some point in the evening. Jacob sat in the middle of his sisters. Eventually both girls snuggled in to their little brother and fell asleep. Hercules and I covered up the kids and soon fell asleep next to them so they wouldn't wake up scared trying to find us.
The next morning I was woken up by a little finger poking my face. I crack my eyes open to see Rachel staring at me smiling and starting to giggle. I go to act like I'm stretching but move my hands down fast to her sides and start to tickle her. She starts giggling even more waking up Rebecca. Soon both girls are over by me cuddling into me.
"Ariel, I miss momma." Rachel says and starts to sniffle.
"Yea me too" Rebecca says curling up closer into my side.
"I miss my momma too. When I was born she passed away so I never got to meet her. I only got to hear stories from my dad. You girls were lucky to have your mom for as long as you did. It's okay to miss her. It's okay to cry. It's even okay to be mad sometimes at the person that caused your parents to wreck. But always, always remember the good things about her. She is always with you girls in your hearts. I know I will never be your mom but I will always be here for you two whenever you need me. Just call me or find me." I tell them kissing their heads and they keep snuggling with me.
After another hour of cuddling I move the girls over and cover them up since they feel back asleep. I decide to go ahead and start making breakfast. I grab our ingredients to make pancakes for the kids with bacon and fruits.
The food was done so I go over and wake the kids up to come and eat. As I am walking over to the living room, I see all three kids piled on top of Hercules asleep. It was the cutest thing. I took my phone out to take a picture to show billy later.
Once breakfast was done I got the kids cleaned up and the kitchen cleaned. I thought it would be a nice day to go to the beach for a little bit. We all load up in my truck and head down the the beach. All three kids were excited about beach day.
Arriving to our location, Hercules got out and helped me with the kids. We made sure they all had sunscreen on and then took them to the waters. Rebecca and Jacob were with Hercules and I had Rachel.
"Do you want to see something cool? That has to stay a secret?" I ask.
She nods her head excitedly. I wave my hand around and the water starts to slowly dance around my fingers. "Wow! Ahhhh wait! Your name is Ariel and you have water powers. Does that make you the real little mermaid!?" She asks jumping up and down.
I chuckle and say "I'm not a full mermaid. My father is the god of the sea and king of Atlantis. I am the princess of the sea so I have water magic as well as some mermaid magic. I only grow a tail when I want to but I don't do it often unless I'm around other mermaids."
She looks at me like I'm her favorite person in the world now. "You cannot tell anyone Rachel. If anyone knows who I am they will come for me and use me for my powers okay? I need this to be our little secret." I say.
"I promise." She says giving me a hug. I flick my wrist and a seashell necklace forms in my hands and I give it to her.
"Now listen to me Rachel, I know you are a mommas girl more than Rebecca. Like I said before I will never replace your mom but I will always be here for you. I want you to wear this and never take it off. If you ever need me or just need to talk, hold the shell in your hand and say Ariel Ocean and I will be there." She nods along and hugs me.
The rest of the day we all played in the water and teamed up to try and take Hercules down. Once our day was over and we headed to Billy's the kids were knocked out. Hercules and I carried them in, and tucked them in.
Billy and I talked a little bit about how they were doing. So I told him about my talk with the girls about being there for them. He really appreciated it because he's been lost without Sarah and doesn't know how parents two girls.
We also talked about the land and how everything is save right now before headed home.
