"y/n?" you heard joshua call for you.

"living room," you replied as you sat on a chair, drawing in a small notebook.

you heard footsteps walk around the house before they settled. "huh, the rain isn't settling," joshua spoke.

you looked up at him, noticing a mug in one hand and a book tucked under his other arm. he sat down on the couch next to you. he placed the mug on the side table next to him and placed the book in his lap.

"lucky for us, we can spend it inside and do whatever we want," you replied to him. "new book?" you asked him.

"oh this?" he said, holding up the book. he shook his head, "this is an old book. i've read it before but i decided to read it again. i thought i lost it until i found it in a box a few days ago," he replied before opening the book to the first page.

silence took over as joshua read his book while you started drawing everything in front of you. the smell of coffee was present due to the cup that joshua had made minutes earlier.

"y/n?" joshua spoke up after awhile. you hummed in response as you finished drawing him sitting in the couch with his legs crossed. "would you like anything to drink?" he asked.

"no, i'm okay. thank you though," you replied.

you heard the couch squeak a tiny bit as joshua got up. you heard his footsteps as he walked into the kitchen.

you continued drawing, adding the final details to your drawing of joshua.

all of a sudden, you felt a kiss on the top of your head. you looked up and saw joshua in front of you.

"you should draw us instead of me," he spoke before giving you another kiss, this time on your lips. he sat on the armrest and looked at your drawing in admiration.

"you know i hate drawing myself," you sheepishly replied to him. joshua took a sip of his coffee. "you're too perfect, i have to draw you."

"but you're perfect too," joshua said to you.

you smiled at him before looking outside, noticing that the rain was still down pouring. then, you realized that you forgot to move your plants that were outside your house.

"i forgot to bring the plants in," you spoke and immediately stood up, putting your notebook and pen into joshua's lap. you scurried to the patio door while joshua chuckled.

you brought your plants under the small awning you had, hoping that the plants didn't get too much water. once you brought the plants under the awning, you went back inside, sliding and locking the back patio door.

"all done," you spoke as you walked back into the living room, where you saw joshua drawing in your notebook. "what are you doing?" you asked and walked up to him.

"making a masterpiece," he replied. you peeked at his drawing and saw two stick figures, clearly representing the two of you. he drew a heart around the two stick figures. "like it?" he asked you.

you kissed him, "love it, but not as much as i love you."

"i love you," joshua said to you.

"i love you."
